Democratic Presidential Candidates Forum

Yep. Her approach to this forum comes from a completely different perspective, for better or worse.

Personally, I don't think her answers are doing her any favors, but they're not hurting her either.
Seems like she's trying to have a shoot-the-shit conversation instead of a pointed debate. Some of these moments remind me of stoned late-night college bullshitting sessions.

Lol it's kinda fitting that she fessed up to a dodge.

Missed opportunity for an anti-Trump jab.

Silly questions though.

ugh i hate when politicians can't answer those kinds of questions.

Were we really going to get much insight from an answer to a question of "which Republican presidential nominee do you hate the least?". It's some of the other question she could have given more definitive/helpful answers on.

I don't blame Hillary for not wanting to answer that question. It really would do damage to whatever candidate she picks. There will be plenty of time for that in the general election.

Oh shit, Maddow is calling her out on the DOMA lies. This is something she made a snafu about just a week ago.

She actually made this a problem with Maddow when she confronted Hillary about it.

Yeah, I think she would have done well to put as much passion into this answer as she did into her old defense of "traditional marriage".

I feel like Hillary's answers are amounting too much to "we need to have a discussion".

You're running for president; I want policies.

Time and time again she's spoken about policies. This isn't the proper platform to discuss policy specifics. Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they don't exist.

tbh that whole affair seemed completely pointless, but it's msnbc so that is probably to be expected.

The real winner tonight is Maddow because she pulled no punches.

But seriously. O'Malley and Sanders did really well in this format though O'Malley more so. Hillary just kinda flopped around a bit to me.

I think Omalley might have got a few votes away from Hillary, Bernie stays about the same.

No one's support is going to move because of this, we might see a little fluctuation within the margin at the very most. Frankly, I don't think this wasn't on a scale large enough to move the needle much if at all.

I doubt anyone really watched this and I don't think it'll be played during the cycle (esp in light of The Carson Expose).

Pretty much, Carson's implosion is going to be dominating the news cycle. This happened late enough on a Friday that no one will really care and it isn't juicy enough to take root in the media.

My forum performance ranking: O'Malley > Sanders > Clinton

Even though I feel that O'Malley comes across as inauthentic, I believe he had good answers to almost every question. Bernie just spewed the same rhetoric he always does and wasn't specific enough with many of the questions, though he did surprise me with his aggressive and progressive stance on voting rights. Hillary...I nearly forgot the questions to some of her answers due to so much rambling.

LOL is there a sign with "Don't believe the Liberal Media!"?

I'm getting the sense that Carson is going to weasel his way out of this latest nonsense though :/

It's interesting that Hillary flopped around so much. I'd have thought she'd have better prepared answers to the questions Maddow asked.

It's slowly turning into an avalanche. I imagine we'll be hearing more stories like this in the coming days. The reporters all smell blood in the water and everyone's going to want a piece of this story. Partly because it's so juicy, partly because it can be researched in an afternoon from their desks in the newsroom.
