here's my level 14 warlock - he's pretty cool:

Just so I'm sure I've got this right...the pre-order vanguard gear isn't available until level 5? And I have to purchase it with glimmer?

So nothing is wrong that I cant get it with my level 2 titan??

So the gist is basically that Bungie should hire new writers.

I could totes give them my application, but I haven't had anything published due to an overriding fear of rejection. :(

Also because I'd totes make a great character out of the main protagonist but they probably wouldn't let me do that.

More Ghost-PC interaction, please. If you're not gonna have more NPCs, make those more personal interactions count more.

You should totes be a writer for Bungie.

What skill did yours come with? Mine was "bonus accuracy when firing from the hip." Feels like using the Halo 1 pistol, but without the zoom. But I may need to find a replacement soon, it's only level 7.

I got the fast reload if I get a kill with the final shot which can be damn good. Only has 4 bullets though.

The game just launched and its on 4 platforms. I'm sure expansions will fill in the void. Besides the game barely came out today, you can't judge it so quickly, even if you played the beta.

You shouldn't have expansions be an excuse for bad multiplayer. Its Halo light.

The A.I. feels a lot more aggressive in the release version, which makes all the encounters from the beta a lot harder. You're constantly on the move because it's easy to run out of ammo if you just hide it out. Makes every single encounter with major groups really intense.

This is much, much better than the beta. And the improved graphics on the Xbox One stand out so much. A lot more lighting effects, depth of field, 1080p, this game is nuts.

I'm conflicted. One hand I guess I'm having fun .... but on the other I feel like the Story missions ... every fucking mission is the same and thus I'm not having fun.

Game also feels rather lacking for as long as they worked on it.

Am I seeing this right that by unlocking Grimoire ranks for enemies/places/etc you actually unlock boni?

Like, getting extra glimmer from enemies you killed or getting more materials from material nodes?

Cause that makes grimoire stuff actually much better than just "lore"

Just got a new ship ^^

Beware her Maw!

That's a nice ship. Damn, I need to do some serious glimmer farming tomorrow.

After a hefty amount of exploration, finished first moon mission. They've definitely ramped it up since the beta, in the best ways possible. My darkened room's an orgy of flashing lights and....what would you cool that fight music? Apart from badass?

I may just play the whole game through my headphones. They may be cheapo, but damn does everything sound great through them.
Love my Illyrian-firebreak armour combos. Looking sweet. Can't wait to get the higher level stuff.

You need to go back to Bungie.net, and look at your list of redeemed codes. There should be a button that says "Use Now," or something similar. After you click those buttons, they should be available at the postmaster for pickup (for emblems and shaders. grimoire cards should be viewable on the site or app). You may need to restart your game for the items to show up.

For the clan tag, visit the clan page and there should be an option to set it as primary clan.

Sweet. Thanks!

Feel the same about the encounters. Was just free roaming and earth felt like almost every encounter was a near death experience

I'm fairly certain Tess at special orders is voiced by Claudia Black. Which wouldn't be surprising, with Nathan Fillion already here.

Wonder what other famous scifi actors/actresses are in this?

Whereabouts did the Founder's Seal emblem come from?

Forgive me if it's already been asked. It's hard to keep up with this thread.

You're only 2 levels above me but over 100 more defence! although I haven't done a lot of story missions yet.

I haven't found a gun type that I have an affinity to yet. I liked the scout rifle for PVE but it seems pretty worthless I'm PVP but I suck at PVP anyway.

Not bad for my first cruicible game

Also, Im not sure but I think the triple play trophy is glitched. I got the medal twice in this game. Not sure if it just meant triple kill (since I did get two triple kills) or I just mistook a warlock for a titan.

I agree. The enemy AI in the Old Russia strike, during the Devil Walker section, is particularly mean. There is a rooftop with some piping on it that was a very safe place to snipe from. In the beta, you could stand there all day and kill the Devil Walker without getting hurt. Now, a Fallen Captain and some of his henchman actively seek to keep that rooftop clear. You can kill them, but they infinitely respawn.

I find the aggressive AI to be a lot more fun.

This is cool to hear.

So how is everyone who wasn't in the Alpha or Beta enjoying the game? I myself having been in both, cannot wait to get past the first handful of missions, especially to unlock the crucible.

Also, why is this game getting slammed so hard on meta? I was really busy all day and haven't been on gaf or anything, were the servers down or something? Everyone seemed to love the game back in the summer when we got to test it, now it's getting ripped apart.

I would love to be, but I'm just a lowly college freshman. I don't have money to move.

Hey, if you can impress them, some places do golden handshakes. If not, can't hurt to make yourself known by them! I feel ya on the fear of rejection thing though. It's why I refuse to play guitar for anyone, just myself.

Hahaaaa Bungle tricked us all with the beta. Goodbye easy ride!

PS Butt towels are getting cooler as levels go on. The mark of the new front is particularly cool.

@namikaze1- how'd you manage to get a clear shot of your guardian's face? When I try to zoom in for a shot the game blurs it for some reason :/
Would be cool to have some more meet my guardian posts, I wanna add mine as I'm rather pleased with my current armourset.

Yeah, that's her. There's also Lance Reddick (Fringe), and a bunch more besides.

It's kind of a shame, since they're basically voicing anthropomorphical menus.

Didn't play Alpha or Beta.
Made fun of the game for months. had zero interest in it at all.
Started playing Warframe on PC. Realized I loved "go to missions and kill shit with your friends" games.
Bought a PS4 + Destiny and played for 10+ hours today, loving every second.

So, yeah. Don't care about reviews or metacritic or whatever. Enough people have the game and the only one I care about anyway is my friend I play it with.

This is cool to hear.

You can't see your motion sensor when you're ADS-ing, so I had to constantly go in and out of ADS once I realized what was going on. Can't wait to get that legendary (exotic?) sniper rifle that has the ability for you to still see your motion sensor when you're zoomed in.

Always ignore user reviews on metacritic. Just crazy people needing an outlet to vent. Would bet a large portion of those people don't even have the game.
