Got my first exotic bounty a few minutes ago. That decision between the shotgun and the handcannon was tough... But I'm going for the handcannon.

1. game is not really about engrams, it's about vendor marks - happiness is that way

2. I'm convinced Sunsinger is better than Voidwalker

3. I want a blue Shingen rifle. I like the super fast rate of fire

4. Something something I want to do the weekly heroic with some of you guys, but I'm level 21 and I'm not up for the 20% damage reduction

I was farming on the Earth and got a bunch of blue and one legendary. The legendary turned out to be a blue, but one of the blues turned out to be a legendary.... leg armor. Oh well, I would have preferred a legendary weapon, but I'll consider myself lucky for getting one legendary.

Fuck this game. I can't find any effective way of getting good items. Did the Moon farming spot. All I get is blue Engrams, and the majority of the time they turn green. I am getting so bored of it.

And I love crucible, but the matches are long, so there's no way to speed up the grind.

Never had anything NEAR a purple and I am really struggling to bump my light level up when I can hardly get a blue most the time.

Did you try the Earth method? I managed to get a bunch of blues and one legendary on it. All within about 2 hours.

I have never played a game that explained so little of itself to you as a player. I have been playing for a few hours and have no clue why anything is happening. I just feel like I am going from random task to random task because my little robot tells me to.

And I really, really hate the PVP modes. I'm thinking about trading it in already. :(

Not every update that you apply to Destiny will contain revolutionary changes to the player experience. As we support the world of Destiny beyond the launch, much of what we do behind the scenes will be dedicated to ensuring the services that support the game are stable.

Yesterday, we deployed an update that delivered the following refinements.

Engineering
Fixes for Durango bootflow issues
Changes in network configuration to improve stability
Fixes for issues causing game crashes

Events
Public Events should occur twice as frequently in public spaces

I feel your pain. Did all the grinding method and got noting out of it. Also pvp does take way to long to farm.

Funnest Vanguard Bounty: 30 Melee Kills Without Dying. At level 20+ I just ran around on Venus jumping in the middle of crowds and smacking people around.

I felt the same way and still am kind of disappointed in the game, but I'm really addicted to trying to get legendary stuff. If that's the kind of thing that you think you would like, then you should hang on until you get to level 20 where that stuff starts to kick in.

My gauntlets and boots were bought with marks. My chestpiece was from Xur's exotic engram. I do have two legendary chestpieces, but yeah...

Marks are the solution to not being lucky. And all you need are two legendaries and some level 20 blues to hit raid level. One week can get you one item from crucible/faction and one from vanguard. The next week can get you a helm from one of them and the fourth piece from another. Just need weapons after that.

Engrams are just a potential bonus, don't get overly hung up on them. At least not if you're going to get upset. That's how farming works.

Fuck RNG, for real. I went out and made money instead of waiting for handouts. Bought some Legendary gear; meet Xander:

I'm level 25 right now but I'll have enough cash to buy a Legendary chest piece by tomorrow. Between that and some upgrades to my existing purple wares (why is Helium so freaking hard to get???) I should close tomorrow night with a Lvl 26, raid-ready character :)

Glad they increased the frequency of Public Events. Those are so much fun and you get useful rewards for em in marks and mats if you get Golds. They also make patrols and exploring around more dynamic. Never know when they will come at you

I'm just quitting out whenever I get the Devil's Lair in the strikes playlist. So, I'm quitting out in three out of every four matches.

Anyone on XB1 want to do the Heroic Weekly right now?
