Actually managed to hit 335 with my pvp (5/5/1) and pve gear (1/5/5) on my hunter. Now to improve the stat rolls for 5/5/2 and better perks
The real question. Did you manage to do it AND look cool?

Nope, it has the +6 light system like the other raid drops, so it's just an extra, guaranteed reward
Yeah I feel like the NM and FWC y2 ships are bugged for a lot of people.

Mistakes were made.
It can drop gear at the level cap, but it only drops gear up to 6 light above your current total light, so in order to get a chance at 335 gear you'll have to be at least light level 329.

So you can get an Eyasluna from any crucible mode? Is there a higher chance in different modes? The daily maybe?

Same drop chance for all modes. You can also get it from the shaxx weeklies if you're lucky
I got one a day or two in normal crucible
and instantly dismantled it because it had a garbage roll

To get the calcified fragment you have to use a rune of your own

Uf you do, warlock with nothing manacles and scater grenades on mini crota gets her shield down in no time.Can do, trying to get the calcified fragment from mini crota

Yup know that, got tons of them runes, almost had him a few times though with it being a public event I struggle to get more than 2 other guardians.
get 6 guardians. much much easier

Had competent randoms show up, so I got a couple done before I saw these, sorry. Can do more a little later if you need them as well though.
I'm a Y2 mercury virgin if you want that list populated lol
Try walking VERY slowly in the short section between hall of souls and hull breach. this is where the matchmaking takes place, and the game won't place you with anyone if you run through it. I usually crouch and take my time and then I get 1-3 people.

Got it done with 2 others pretty easy when people know what to do, most of the time the randoms I was with all went Rambo at the boss.

Nah i get blues all the time from him like that. Legendaries are not guaranteed.
Nah, you often (actually most of the time) get 1 blue engram in addition to the 4 motes and coins.

Haha. What? Nope. I almost exclusively get 2-3 blues. Never get a legendary any more.

Motes and blues for me. Don't think i've got a legendary engram from the Cryptarch post-update. Thought I read somewhere they were improving the rewards...can't find it ATM though.

Do you have to finish first in challenge of the Elders to get exotic drops?
I assume it's just random, but I've run it a lot and never had any exotics drop, and I tend to be 2nd place more times than not, and have seen it drop a lot for 1st place.

They seem to pop up in your inventory after mission results. Definitely not exclusive to first place. I really suck at this grenade thing, and I just got the fusion sniper in third place.
I need to farm more to get my light up if you have a spot open. PSN name is the same as it is here.

I have had three taken ghosts pop up, but no exotics...figured it was random. Thanks for confirming, I appreciate it.
