thorn is mostly worthwhile for pvp. I think lots of legendary guns are better in almost all PvE unless you're running a gimmick chain of woe gunslinger build.
but I don't know, all the exotic bounties... get you guaranteed exotics. i don't think i really have a problem with any of those bounties :X
if you want to pursue thorn, i recommend getting a great void fusion rifle for that part, like 77 wizard from the crucible vendor (150 marks).
So you say that 26 would be OK to da A Raid with some experienced gaffers?

I agree with Hawk, you need a good void fusion rifle or it will take forever lol.
Yeah you will be fine with a team who knows what to do. Just listen to what they tell you to do and try not to die much.
This game is trolling me hard. I do nightfall strikes, my rewards are usually a cheese sandwhich and a kick in the balls. Do kinda okay in the crucible, get nothing. Last guy gets a hawkmoon.
However, I do bounties and keep getting exotic bounty after exotic bounty. I'm at a point where I'm clearing them just to make room so I can accept more than one bounty at a time. Got Thorn, then Bad Juju, then Pocket infinity. Cleared the latter yesterday just so I could get 3 slots for bounties, and today I go in and they give me the Invective Bounty, just like that. I think I'll do all of them except for Thorn.
As it stands right now it's a lot worse than my Last Word, but will hold out until I see what the fabled buff will bring to the table. If the gun still sucks I'm gonna trash the fucking bounty.
It's really really frustrating to have to deal with handicaps in the crucible, especially when you know you could be doing alright if not for the restriction of only using void shotties or fusion rifles. And as soon as you start the Thorn, you gotta commit to it, otherwise the kill counter will only go down with matches played. So yeah, fuck Thorn for the time being.

What's the average standard time to do the VoG? I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that it's not 14 hours anymore.
It's no joke. The gun is shit outside the raid but it is my go to weapon in during it.

Is the legendary armour stuff I can buy from crucible vendors good? Should I upgrade it with shards or should I wait and try to find better legendary armour?

Buy it and upgrade it if you're like me and can't ever find a good raid team to do the raid. It'll get you near or at Lv 29 fully upgraded. Add one exotic piece and you should get level 30.

I can attest this is false. Non-raid gear only goes to 27 Light. You need 120 to hit 30.

So this week coming up, we already have a handful of people who'd like to run Hard Mode regularly. They're 29 or 30 which is fine for it. But this would also mean folks who are lower are kinda left high and dry.
I, personally, would like to focus my attention on clearing Hard Mode VoG on a weekly basis, maybe twice a week with my alt soon. I'd even go without playing normal mode if need be.
Anyone free for this week for doing heroic VoG? I'd prefer to be in a group with folks I've played regularly with, but being at least over 29 is good enough for me. What times work for everyone? I'm free except for Thursdays.
I'll post this in each new page if need be.
