played some more. and just to clarify my previous comments: aside from the non interactive scene in the beginning, the game ran fine (mostly 30 fps with some slight dips) and looks good (the fact that the non realtime cutscenes look like ass doesnt change that).

the amount of detail, the fantastic art design and believable world help to overlook some stiff character animation.

however, there are areas with framerate issues (here, the game runs like hr on 360, dipping to mid-lower 20s). i dont know why thats the case, since the area in question is empty and less detailed than the other stuff. maybe because of the slight fog (alpha) effect.

the game itself is basically an improved version of human revolution, which means its fantastic. only did one sidequest so far, which gave me multiple options and a good bit of backstory for the characters involved.

there seems to be a lot more story in general, which still feels overwhelming to me.

Are there more characters on average to interact with? HR had a lot of random civvies but it felt pretty sparse when it came to actual characters.

That's great. Thanks.

I'd follow up by asking if it still supports the number pad for code entry, but I'm on a TKL keyboard these days ha.

It's a good question. I still love being able to just type passwords / codes in just like the original Deus Ex, and the occasional frantic moment trying to type stuff in fast in a fight

I'm going to read it in a minute but its a
9
, which is promising.

Being broke sucks ass. Would love to play this day 1 (no, not bothering to pirate it - maybe just to see how well my pc handles it).

I'm a bit confused by this. Are you using it as a happy celebration gif, or do you know that Brian Blessed is actually saying "hahahaha, I knew I'd fall for that!" ie the review score is fake?!

as celebration, I thought he just looked stupid happy =/

Still don't understand what could possibly be needing up to 12gb (+4gb system) of ram, but whatever. Went ahead and ordered 8gb more "just in case", since it was only $44. Sent back my 980 Ti yesterday, so the 1080 should be here in time for this game.

Is there a storage in the game, does anyone know? You could sort of makeshift one out of the apartment in HR but you didn't have access to it all the time, but I'd love something more centralized so I can tailor my kit to the mission I'm attempting.

Watched the story recap video, I forgot how much of a clusterfuck the game becomes. I now remember I was like yeeeah this has officially gone off the rails when the story went into "AND THEN THE ILLUMINATI--" without missing a beat.

Any hopes that this game is gonna tone down on the crazy a bit? No spoilers of course, just wanted to see if there were any dev statements saying as much.

If you thought the HR story was crazy you must have missed the original game, which had every conspiracy under the sun. The government manufactured a plague so that it could administer the cure as a means of control, FEMA is evil, UNATCO is evil, and there's a war going on between the Illuminati, and a sub-group of the Illumanti who are even more illumintaious. Knights Templar Nazi Gold. Aliens underneath area 51. Everything.

I remember a quote from Warren Spector (I think -- may have been Sheldon Pacotti?) about how the entire premise they started with in writing that story was "every conspiracy theory is true".

Yeah, as scattered as HR might have been it was nothing compared to the original going HAM by the end.

You can't go crazier than Assassin's Creed lore which involve actual ancient gods. It's sad imho that time travel in the past is not sufficient enough to be appealing to the masses.

I have an I7 4790k + GTX 980 + 16GO de ram, PC or PS4 ? is there a good comparaison videos between both versions ? cause if it's not really that different, I'll prefer getting it on PS4 for the platinum...

I'm going to buy physical on PS4 for plat, trade it in after I am done, and rebuy on PC a year or so down the road when GOTY is out with all DLCs and stuff and replay then. Thats my usual plan for most games, I only buy on PC if its a VR game or multiplayer game I will dip in and out of for years - overwatch, battlefield 1, titanfall 2.

weirdly enough got an email from amazon yesterday too confirming they are going to ship the game "soon" and I will have it on release day, because they know there are a lot of deus ex fans. Haven't gotten that kind of email before for any game, and I've probably pre ordered about half a dozen alone this year from amazon.

I'd get the ps4 version if it had kb+m support. Can't play stealth games on a controller, for whatever reason. I'd love to platinum the game just for giggles.

I just finished HR today, but I'm not sure if I really want to dive into MD that quickly.
I'm sorta burnt out from extensively playing the game.

Is there any point to try and play Human Revolution before this comes out? I'd be mainly looking for story and there is a recap video to bring me up to speed. But what is the better thing to do, GAF? Play HR or not? Thanks.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
The kitschy conspiracy stuff is the guts of Deus Ex.

Played the game since Monday, didn't sign any NDAs, even streamed first hour today on Twitch.

The game is like HR but better in every aspect possible.

Also starting mission in Dubai is very boring though necessary for those who never played Deus Ex. Heck they even inserted a 15 minutes long HR recap in the beginning.

PS. Also gonna play tomorrow, so if anyone have like any questions, I can easily answer them and try anything you ask for in the game.

I'd say play it. The recap can remind you of most of the plot but to return in the life of Adam Jesen and why everything turned to shit, it might be better to play it.

It's a pretty long game, so unless you want to do a serious marathon before next Tues, I would just watch the recap. It does a thorough job of getting you up to speed on the convoluted as fuck story of HR.

Is there any footage that makes it look like a significant step up from Human Revolution? This whole thing feels very same-y to me and the stuff I've seen (Jensen's home hub gameplay) doesn't seem interesting at all.

You haven't played Human Revolution? First step to fix this is to play Human Revolution.

Play it of course, you'll finish it around in time for Mankind Divided and you'll feel right at home, given that it is completely direct sequel with the same protagonist.

Do it skeleton ! Go play HR
