Friday would be too late for simplygames. I am expecting them to ship tomorrow.

Last two orders with them - Overwatch and No Man's Sky - I placed on the Friday before their launches and got them within 24 hours - three days before their respective launches. Albeit in the case of Overwatch, it's basically a three-day doorstop until the servers came live.

I'm not saying they won't start shipping tomorrow, but don't be too shocked if they end up waiting until Friday.

Couple of screens from the PS4 version

Really not trying to come off as a rude but... is anyone else not impressed by the overall quality in these shots? Feel like I'm looking at a PS3 game. I haven't seen any PS4 videos and images besides this so it might be a bit of a bias. If not, even more glad I'm getting the PC version now.

Had to remove the images due to being under the embargo, again my apologizes but it seems like I couldn't post screenshots of the options.

It's all a matter of perspective, obviously. The shot of the skyline looks great to me, but I am a lifelong console gamer. But I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't looking forward to the increased graphical capabilities of Neo and Scorpio.

Still, the console version looks really nice to me.

The skyline doesn't look impressive to me and Jensen's face isn't stunning, but I can't think of many PS3 games that look much better in general. Uncharted/TLoU have better character faces up close possibly, and some games might have better skyboxes. But Indoor scenes in Prague for example look much better than the outdoor ones do, and overall the game looks good.

They're just not good photos.

Or rather, the character models are pretty bad in most of the footage so that's a valid complaint.

The other is a vista of areas you're never going to visit so they're pretty low quality models and I wouldn't say that screenshot is indicative of the average moment. A lot of vista like that in many games look pretty bad when looking close and are just meant for a brief glance.

I actually like those screenshots. Unlike so many of the bullshots that come with AAA game marketing, they seem to have a graphical quality that's attainable. Maybe I'm too cynical, but whenever I see a screenshot that makes me go "wow," I have to wonder if that's what I'm actually going to get.

It's nice to know those are just PS4 shots though. The PC version can only be better*.

*A phrase I can say quite confidently knowing Nixxes is on the job.

i can understand if people think it looks underwhelming at close. the facials (giggity) are pretty bad, the lip sync is terrible, and more often than not the voice acting sounds a little iffy.

but on the other side, the visual design looks absolutely amazing, very detailed and hopefully with a lot of non-linearity. like others have mentioned, it's basically dxhr 2.0 on steroids and i'm perfectly okay with that. dxhr was in my top 5 games last gen.

You should go back and look at some PS3 games.

I have a hunch this will score well.

Man, imagine the meltdowns if it blows.
including mine cause i just purchased the game and i very rarely preorder games, the last game i preordered was the witcher 3 and it's probably my favorite game ever, really looking forward to this

Seems most of the released footage are from the same few areas of the game so I am hoping for some stunning not yet seen areas that push the graphics a bit more than what we have seen so far.

Game doesn't look to hot, but then again, the first one didn't either.

In for PC version.

It definitely would be "traditional" Deus Ex. The first one already looked dated visually when it released, not sure about IW since I didn't play it at launch, but HR also wasn't the best looking game of the year.

As long as it's a well playing and well written experience in a believable world, like DX1 and HR, graphics are one of the last things I worry about.

there will probably be people that go on some epic 3000 post rant if it gets an 8 let alone actually being bad

Not sure about that, to get a No Man's Sky or Uncharted 3 you have to have phenomenal hype and the undercurrent of platform warrior pride. People are excited for this game but it's a lot more muted.

I hadn't realized that the recommend Ram for the game was 16GB. I only have 8GB and now I'm a little concerned. Have the following system.

AMD FX 8320 3.5Ghz
Windows 10
8GB Ram
GeForce GTX 960 2GB (should upgrade this but only got this last year)

Hope this will be okay. I don't need to run anything at max but I'm hoping I'll at least have it look better then the PS4 version around the Med or High settings.

People gotta remember this is one big ass rpg. Not a 6 hour call of duty campaign. Game started development like 4 years ago before PS4 was even out. I think it's impressive how dense the game is and it has a great style, as always.

Not really in a position where I should be spending money on vidyagames, but the more I think about this the more I want it

Ya. been a while since I've played HR, but I remember, while looking good for its time, character models weren't its strong suit. Me and a couple of friends had a running joke going with the pilot girl at the end end of the first hub, with her Thunderbird-esque animations, complemented by not great voiceacting and crappy lip synching. She was funny.

Can't comment on how MD looks, as work firewall is blocking most of these screens, and I've been on a (somewhat unintentional) blackout, which I think I'll try to keep going

You played it?

With only 8GB RAM the game auto-resizes the levels to fit in your memory size.

Remember Deus Ex: Invisible War?

That is how Mankind Divided will play for you.

I hope we get a few easter eggs referencing the original Deus Ex. I loved that you could hear the original Deus Ex theme being whistled in Human Revolution and the remixed UNATCO theme.

Thanks.

Do you think nvidia will release game optimised drivers for this game?

I wonder if we'll get gameworks features like HBAO+, PCSS, Hairworks, unless they partnered with AMD.

Normally I don't notice these things, at least I don't seem to. But the jaggies on that girls face in the gamescom video annoyed the ever loving hell out of me. I mean, it looked like her cheeks had 90 degree angles on it. I hope that was like an old non-gold build for the PS4.
