UK (PEGI/ PAL) version. In the game's own options you can switch dub and sub to spanish (both Spain and Latin America) ;)

Perfect that's exactly what I wanted to hear since I'm going to buy that version, thank you very much and please keep posting impressions :D

I'll try asking in here, as the most Deus Ex players seem to hang out in here at the moment:

I'm only like a few hours into Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but because I put it aside for some time, I can't remember what happened in the start.

Did the Pure Humanity (is that the name?) invade the Sarif HQ (why?) and their research facility, because Megan and her team had solved how to evolve humans at a faster rate? Who took the woman hostage, and what is his name?

you should watch the story recap that Eidos is putting out in several parts, here's part 1 that will def bring you up to speed:

No problem :) Though i think i've posted all my impressions so far. Will play again tonight i think. But if anyone has any other specific questions I'll happily try to answer them.

Edit: Oh yeah, i also started the first few levels of Breach. Nicely integrated into the whole experience and quite complex. Thrilling and arcadey style of Deus Ex. I'll likely play more of it although i'm a bit weary of possible (or already integrated?) microtransactions, but most of the important stuff seems to be available with in-game credits.

Hmm, I might watch the first minute if it recaps the very start of the game. I'm only maybe 3 hours into it, and I want to play through it. Thanks for the link btw.

[edit] Just watched the two first minutes, man thanks for the video, it got me up to speed again. So I see that it was a black ops mercenary group who killed Megan and her team at the plant, while it was a pro-human group who were behind the second attack, stealing the Typhoon from Sarif HQ?

purity first. they attacked sarif because of their dislike of augs. the hacker was a puppet sent by tai yong medical/illuminati to shut down sarif, their competitor. megan's research would stop the need for neuropozine which the illuminati use to control aug people so they don't want that public. jaron namir was the leader of the tyrants, the outfit that took the scientists. they work for the illumnati.

that's the gist of it.

edit - i see you just watched the video lol

I didn't really enjoy HR since I don't really like stealth/hacking gameplay much, but I do like the Deux Ex world and the concept of augs, etc. Does Mankind Divided have more options to just play like a standard FPS with some cool augs?

The Edge review mentions being able to shift gears (stealth to shooty)mid way through a mission based on changing circumstances, and that the shooter aspects felt really good. So it should be a viable way to play it.

Edit: I told you the actual plot, you are only few hours in.
Your questions ill be answered by the game in due time.

You might want to cut out the part about the
hacker being a puppet
, he's only a few hrs in.

Ive been on media black out for this game.

Played Revolution through PS+. I did like it, but stopped somewhere and never picked it back up. Im hoping this game has some good improvements, as I feel like I should jump in and blindly purchase this one

This is a continuation, right? Seems like I need to wiki the story

Oh, but this actually made me understand it. Very nice explanation, I'm very grateful. Thank you. :) So the four augmented people who turned up at the plant were Tyrants, and the guy with an eyepatch who took the woman hostage is Jaron Namir?

So happy to hear the positive impressions :) They took their time to create a follow-up to HR but it seems like it payed off.

The Illuminati's had control over the aug industry because they indirectly had monopoly over Neuropozyne via one of the corporations they controlled (Versalife, subsidiary of Page Industries). Tai Yong was also in Illuminati's pockets and the biggest aug corporation in the world.

Sarif Industries then came up with a solution that made Neuropozyne obsolete. This meant the Illuminati's would lose their monopoly and control over the population since Sarif was an independent corporation not under their control. As such they got attacked by the Illuminati.

Good info, I had forgotten about Sarif having developed a work around to Neuropozyne. Still a little confused about the boyhood experiments that Adam was subjected to, and who was behind that.

All impressions point to a much more refined, but familiar experience for those who played HR. Several impressions have mentioned that literally everything has been improved upon.

Start with this

And then watch part 2 when you're done. Voila, you're up to speed.

No, i think he's mixing two incidents involving Sarif Industries up. The prologue ones involved in the attack on SI HQ were the three tyrants
sent by Tai Yong
, the one who shoots Adam is Jaron Namir and he takes Megan.

After Adam's recovery SI gets attacked again - now at one of their manufacturing plants - THIS time by Purity First activists
who are unknowingly accompanied by a remote controlled hacker
. Their leader is Zeke Sanders, the one with the eye-patch, he takes Josie.

oh crap sorry i hope he's past that part. i forget what parts come at what point.

yes the 4 mercs are collectively known as the tyrants. the guy with the patch who took josie hostage is zeke sanders. he's part of purity first, the anti aug "terrorist" group. you'll find out a lot more about the tyrants and zeke as you continue :)

White Helix Labs ran those experiments, a subsidiary of Versalife which in itself is a subsidiary of Page Industries....which is then controlled by the Illuminati.

I want this game, but FH3 comes out a month later. My gaming time is so limited that l may not complete in a month.

I'm still playing Trackmania Turbo single player FFS.

Is Edge known for being tougher than average critics with scores?

Yeah, until Mario 64, they'd never given a 10/10. There's still only been about 12 or 14 10 scores. An Edge 8 is generally another magazine's 9, and an Edge 5 is (or is supposed to be) a genuinely average game.

BUY BOTH

Seriously, though, both MD and FH3 are best in their respective classes for 2016.

Fucking buy them both.

Played a bit on PS4 now.

Animations in dialogues are much better than in HR, but still quite janky. Drops in heavily scripted are noticeable, but the gameplay itself is really smooth so far.

Aside from the technical stuff, game-design wise this game is polished as f***. Really astonishing. The UI is marvelous, attractive and functional. Every item now has a nice 3D model in your inventory.

Every gameplay aspect of HR seems to be improved AND expanded. Level design improvements are already noticeable. So many small improvements but also big additions in form of the new augs.

And visually the game is just drop dead gorgeous in many places. Not every texture has the same quality on PS4, but the areas where it matters for Deus Ex are as fantastic as always: Rich and detailed, handcrafted rooms and city areas full of stuff, objects, graffities, notes etc.

Prague seems to be huuge. I've already spent several hours in the mini-area around your apartment and Adam's background for this game already takes me places i didn't expect after most of the trailers.

Music is as perfect as ever. The richness of the setting, word-building and lore seems to be even bigger this time around.

Great stuff, already my favorite PS4 game.

(Only noticed the PS4 fans in some of the more heavily scripted dialogues so far)

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Well, both have the Source listed as "Square Enix", but it is mighty suspicious with the 40% discount on the Standard edition.

I'd say that's just because the standard edition keys were going to be sourced from Squeenix at first as the discount originally peaked at the member-exclusive 25%. For the all-inclusive 40% discount to be "legit", GMG would have to be sacrificing its entire 30% cut on top of Squeenix's approved 10% discount, which strikes me as too charitable to be the case.

Yeah, that sounds right... And is very cheeky of GMG, if proven correct. Not only still stating that the source is the publisher, but it's tempting a rebuke from Square Enix by using them for the DDE, and a third-party distributor for the standard edition. Taking the piss a bit too much. And their price is so close to CDkeys that it can't be an official source, surely?
