Sebastien Mitton is the art director on Dishonored 2. Antonov is (or was) busy with BattleCry.
Sebastian Mitton was art director for Dishonored 1 as well. Viktor Antonov was the visual designer for the game

Anyway, I already pre-ordered Deus Ex: MD on steam and I'm glad to see that the PC port is on good hands.

Just 5 more days

I also can't stand how the OS tries to take control away in so many ways, like how the control panel itself is practically hidden from the user, with the system trying to promote its more nebulous "settings" window. Sure, the control panel and all of it's Windows 7 options can still be found hidden somewhere after enough inconvenient and time wasting searching through the OS, but whose to say they won't excise the feature in a future update that can't be stopped? Plus, why the hell are there so few color options, it's not just simplified, I recall it actually missing broad ranges of the color spectrum!

A simple right click on the Windows button is all that is required for access to most the higher-end admin functions. But I'm sure you already knew that.

The keys are still important to get early for those who intend to pre-load.

Also even though Friday seems the most likely since Sqenix will probably authorise key delivery as soon as pre-loads are set to begin, no they do not "heavily imply" Friday for keys.

Someone asked about Friday delivery and all GMG say is, it's coming very soon hang in there. "Very soon" could be anything. GMG have been pretty wobbly with how quickly they get keys out there even when a preload is available.

In past when GMG has replied like that when asked about key availability they have been able send them out when preload has started. Also helps that Sqenix is listed as key source for DX keys so very likely that GMG gets keys today or early tomorrow, if doesn't already have them. That said one needs to keep in mind that Sqenix may fuck GMG over and keep keys back until Monday - Tuesday, but that is unlikely imo.

GMG has super dodgy and shady key availability when source for keys is listed as "Authorized distributor".

All impressions seem excellent. If it's good as Human Revolution, I'm happy. If it's better - I'm thrilled!

I think GMG just gives them out once they get them and process them.

I pre-ordered Dead Rising there and they gave me a key right away so it's seemingly up to when the publisher gets keys to them imo

Does anyone have it on PS4? I'm curious how much it strains the fans of the PS4. It was an unpleasant surprise when it I noticed how Doom turned into a bit of a vacuum cleaner, so I might consider the Xbox version of it's the same case here.

Played a bit on PS4 now.

Animations in dialogues are much better than in HR, but still quite janky. Drops in heavily scripted are noticeable, but the gameplay itself is really smooth so far.

Aside from the technical stuff, game-design wise this game is polished as f***. Really astonishing. The UI is marvelous, attractive and functional. Every item now has a nice 3D model in your inventory.

Every gameplay aspect of HR seems to be improved AND expanded. Level design improvements are already noticeable. So many small improvements but also big additions in form of the new augs.

And visually the game is just drop dead gorgeous in many places. Not every texture has the same quality on PS4, but the areas where it matters for Deus Ex are as fantastic as always: Rich and detailed, handcrafted rooms and city areas full of stuff, objects, graffities, notes etc.

Prague seems to be huuge. I've already spent several hours in the mini-area around your apartment and Adam's background for this game already takes me places i didn't expect after most of the trailers.

Music is as perfect as ever. The richness of the setting, word-building and lore seems to be even bigger this time around.

Great stuff, already my favorite PS4 game.

(Only noticed the PS4 fans in some of the more heavily scripted dialogues so far)

Let's try streaming once again, guys
Now with Daily Motion

Nice one buddy. Watching now.

It's not quite the generational leap I was hoping for, animations are still a bit funky and some textures are low rez but other than that all the elements seem to be there for another amazing Deus Ex game.

Tuesday can't come soon enough.

edit: soundtrack just kicks ass. Michael McCann just nails this genre perfectly.

Do you have any thoughts on the movement system while in cover? The "point to point" system seems weird to me but I assume it makes sense on a controller. Some of the PC previews have mentioned that system doesn't make much sense on PC with mouse and keyboard. Considering Edios / Nixxes go to good lengths to ensure PC mouse and keyboard is well catered to, the whole thing seems odd to me.

I was just gonna buy the PS4 version in a few months when the price went down, but after seeing that the game plays well on the PC, decided to just spring for the GMG version on PC.
Human Revolution is a great game and I highly recommend playing through it.

Though it's not that bad if you haven't completed it, since Mankind Divided has a very long video at the start which summarizes and recaps the events of Human Revolution.

MD is a continuation, that'd why the game starts off with a 15 min synopsis of the first game.

You should finish the first game in the spirit of things and get ready plus it's different from watching a synopsis. You don't have to play the new game as soon as it comes out, instead finish HR and your anticipation will be through the roof by the time you finish it and...you get to play the sequel right away.

I'd like to know this as well.

Have Nixxies ever made a bad port? Plus there are people here who have the game on PC right now and they say it runs great.

Copy that, installing HR on X1 now, looks like I'm going back for another trip with this gm.
Thx all!

Still very curious for best ver. of the gm for the consoles..if anyone has any confirmed info.

I've been thinking, the most annoying feature of Human revolution for me was definitely the battery charge. You get all these cool abilities but then the game limits you by letting you recharge only the first battery...even if you buy all the upgrades. So once all the other batteries (apart from the initial one) are depleted you need energy bars...which are again very limited. Unless ofcourse you use only one battery at a time...in which case why even bother upgrading to several batteries ?

The game should have allowed you to recharge atleast 2 batteries in total and made the energy bars more abundant.

And I don't think it has changed in Mankind Divided.

Nice impressions! How's the EXP payout for different playstyles (stealth vs guns blazing)? Please spoiler tag it in case others didn't want to see. THANK YOU!

I don't see how the point to point cover system does not make sense on PC just because of mouse and keyboard since faster aiming would not really make any difference when it comes to moving cover to cover. It's just one of those mechanics that make for a nice flow in movement.

Ubisoft games have been doing this for a while with Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, The Division, Watch Dogs. I think Conviction was the first game to make use of it.

what makes you think that?

Watching the stream here

The bar on the bottom left is energy bar and it does not recharge past the first block, but then they may have added an upgrade.

I haven't played to game yet, but the PC previews are mentioning it specifically in connection to it feeling a poor on mouse and keyboard, so I assume something to do with implementation is the issue at the least or worse. I'd rather go off opinion from those playing than those not for now

Did they rehire the David Sarif actor? Didn't he go crazy or something ?

Edit: looks like they didn't the new guy is only trying to imitate the old one.

It really feels like we are on the eve of one of those special games that only come around every five years or so. Like this game has the potential to be up there with the best of them. Human Revolution was incredible, I can't believe we've finally made it!

I didn't finish HR because I got a headache from the color and UI (could also have been something else entirely) but I want MD. Badly.

May need to do a quick run through of HR and grab this.

And these Gaf ads aren't helping.

Somebody know about Kinguin, keys-availability wise ?

Works surprisingly well so far on a controller. I like it very much. Makes cover-to-cover gameplay while stealthing so much better. But if you're not familiar with HR's cover systems, the controls could be a bit overwhelming. I can see this being a bit more fiddly with a mouse.

One thing for all the German players: So far, every old VA (even for Sarif) is back. I love it, HR was one of the best dubs i know and i couldn't imagine playing Adam without his imo superior German VA.

I've yet to keep an eye on the XP distribution, because i'm going in full non-lethal. Some walkthroughs made it seem, like non-lethal still earns more XP than lethal, but i can't confirm this yet. There seem to be some changes though, i'll come back to this thread with this one as soon as i try some other playstyle on one of my saves.

Rgd. batteries: The new system is much more complex, still somewhat restricting but way less in the beginning areas than HR vanilla. You've got a small part, that will always recharge, no matter what, and a longer part that will recharge but also reduce in total by using some high-tech augs. You'll need biocells to expand that bar again.

Like all systems, there are always some new tricks and expansions to each of HR's base systems.

Enemy AI while stealthing seems much more challenging imo.

One thing: the tutorial systems are marvelously integrated into gameplay flow. Great example. All in all you can feel that this game had some meaningful time in the oven.

Thanks for the impressions!

The PS4 copy I pre-ordered months ago was shipped today and I was starting to have second thoughts about playing Deus Ex on console. Sounds like a solid PS4 version though.

Nothing can be as unique as Elias Toufexis' voice

Where one cell recharges no matter what, the other ones will recharge too as long as you don't finish the entire cell...and you need bars to fill the empty ones again.

Edit: Unless you mean the size of the bar itself shrinks if you have high tech augs installed.

Fight me :)

He's good, but he's missing more emotional tones aside from the dark, moody "Batman" voice in my eyes.

Yeah, in theory it sounds similar. I think i'm just bad in describing this aspect. To me, (just finished HR again for the 4th time before MD), it already feels much different, especially since the augs and their energy use seems to be rebalanced. Together with the crafting system, that allows creating new biocells from scrap, where you are not longer bound to finding Cyber-Protein (the few, that were spread throughout the enitre game), the system feels much better to me.

as long as I don't have to wait a minute just for a stealth takedown

any ways to upgrade this?

or any other interesting augs?
