Guys, you are making it increasingly hard to not preorder. I kindly ask you to stop posting positive information because I am unable to stop reading.
Thank you.

Did you know that's his natural voice?

That may very well be. It's just too tonally flat for me, more on the "robotic" side than an "augmented human" side of intepretation.

as long as I don't have to wait a minute just for a stealth takedown

any ways to upgrade this?

or any other interesting augs?

The basic recharge is quite quick. Had no problem with stealth camouflage and takedowns in the first (real) area.
Upgrades are available in recharge delay, recharge speed, and maximum of the meter the biocells will fill again.

Other augs:
Nearly all of the new augs are cool in some way. I especially like some of the additions to the old ones though, like the ammo change for the Taifun, making it non-lethal. The new Icarus dash is great and Tesla-gun and the "Arm PEPS" are great for non-lethal runs. There are really many augs with various upgrade trees now, i think a new game + (is there one) will be necessary for experiencing most of it. But Adam in general is now even more customzable than before

sounds good, thanks!

so low tech augs can basically be used a lot and with little downtime?
I guess stuff like takedowns are low tech?
can you be invisible again? is that low or high tech?

damn I need a list of those augs to plan my first playthrough

I've yet to keep an eye on the XP distribution, because i'm going in full non-lethal. Some walkthroughs made it seem, like non-lethal still earns more XP than lethal, but i can't confirm this yet. There seem to be some changes though, i'll come back to this thread with this one as soon as i try some other playstyle on one of my saves.

Thanks for the response! Let me know if you have time to check it out

This thread and the launch trailer have me so hyped. I'm trying to get an PS4 early copy but i probably won't succeed. Street dates are rarely broken in The Netherlands. :(

Well basically. I still need some time to figure it out completely, but smart vision (love the new one!!) and camouflage (invisibility) both reduce the maximum of the energy bar a bit (and deplete the energy of course). Melee takedowns reduce the maximum far more without any upgrades actually. The vanilla recharge rate for the constant bit of the bar still make all of the options viable in the beginning imo.

Ok so far, with the tazer gun and without beeing seen i get 10 Xp for takedown of a trooper + 20 Xp for merciful soul. With the pistol i only get 10 for the trooper + 10 Xp for the kill. Other bonus Xp apply to both variants of takedown. So it seems, they still reward non-lethal higher. (Although with the good AI letting them lie around somewhere to be awakened and alarmed again makes me now more anxious than before)

But i don't want to be the final verdict on the XP system, i just played the first few missions in Prague

oh ok, so ALL augs reduce the maximum of the bar at least a bit? did I get that right?
so it's still VERY similar to HR in that case

Seems so. Have to check it later with the new stuff. I guess the change from the distinct batteries to one, whole meter makes it seem so different to me.

Edit: EDGE score seems completely justified. It's everything HR was but also better, more, and more matured in every little aspect and system. I love it.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
So when are GMG sending the keys, they are going to make it in time for pre-loading right?

"Soon", which is rather non-committal. Considering the 40% discount on the standard edition versus the 10% discount on the DDE, the keys for the former won't be coming from Squeenix itself.

Yeah I noticed that, they're probably pulling a cdkeys I'd say.

Played a bit on PS4 now.

Animations in dialogues are much better than in HR, but still quite janky. Drops in heavily scripted are noticeable, but the gameplay itself is really smooth so far.

Aside from the technical stuff, game-design wise this game is polished as f***. Really astonishing. The UI is marvelous, attractive and functional. Every item now has a nice 3D model in your inventory.

Every gameplay aspect of HR seems to be improved AND expanded. Level design improvements are already noticeable. So many small improvements but also big additions in form of the new augs.

And visually the game is just drop dead gorgeous in many places. Not every texture has the same quality on PS4, but the areas where it matters for Deus Ex are as fantastic as always: Rich and detailed, handcrafted rooms and city areas full of stuff, objects, graffities, notes etc.

Prague seems to be huuge. I've already spent several hours in the mini-area around your apartment and Adam's background for this game already takes me places i didn't expect after most of the trailers.

Music is as perfect as ever. The richness of the setting, word-building and lore seems to be even bigger this time around.

Great stuff, already my favorite PS4 game.

(Only noticed the PS4 fans in some of the more heavily scripted dialogues so far)

Thank you very much for the impressions! Can you tell me which version of the game do you have and if your version has spanish dub and sub please?

I didn't really enjoy HR since I don't really like stealth/hacking gameplay much, but I do like the Deux Ex world and the concept of augs, etc. Does Mankind Divided have more options to just play like a standard FPS with some cool augs?

Reviews should confirm tomorrow but Eidos Montreal has been very upfront that the action pillar in HR wasn't nearly as strong as the stealth pillar and they've made it a priority for MD.

Well, both have the Source listed as "Square Enix", but it is mighty suspicious with the 40% discount on the Standard edition. Then again, the DDE is essentially a 50% discount on the Season Pass (£47 for the DDE from GMG, with the standard edition on Steam being £39.99 and the season pass at £19.99).

Got my fingers crossed that the DDE edition keys are legit and are really coming soon, since that's what I pre-ordered, and with my crappy net connection it's going to be a slog to preload.

Thanks, I'm definitely okay with them being closer but
stealth
weighted more.

I'll try asking in here, as the most Deus Ex players seem to hang out in here at the moment:

I'm only like a few hours into Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but because I put it aside for some time, I can't remember what happened in the start.

Did the Pure Humanity (is that the name?) invade the Sarif HQ (why?) and their research facility, because Megan and her team had solved how to evolve humans at a faster rate? Who took the woman hostage, and what is his name?
