im the reverse, Vergil being confirmed to be his father would be more significant, the SE deals with the original game, DMC 5 explains his inevitable return.
Especially because it makes sense to show that part of his life on a DMC 3 prequel, its a bit more interesting.

it could be both though :p

I am going to do a more thorough analysis of Vergil if there's a better quality footage. Can't see shit in it, need it to be in 60 FPS.

Also the not losing Motivation while getting could be because he's in DT.

If you get hit it seems to go below the threshold of normal.. Could be it doesn't go below "normal" unless you get hit (and stays at a baseline) ..

There's also some new info on the English website to go along with the screens. His super can only be done in DT with max Motivation Concentration, which gives it a tighter restriction than was evident in the video. Additionally, the rain swords formation is called... "Heavy Rain Swords"...

Just call it "Rain Swords", gosh.

DMC probably doesn't have enough of that as it is

Vergil's section on the JP website has been updated. Drive is confirmed for Force Edge, Jetstream with Force Edge is indeed a standard combo, and the Super Dimension Slash is called Slash Dimension: Sever (次元斬・絶, jigenzan: zetsu).

Edit: Aaaand they're on the English website as well. That's what I get for not checking.

but it makes me think of heavy rain instead of dmc

should be something like "Rainfall Sword Storm" or something if it's gonna be a silly name

Lady being fully playable is honestly the main reason I'm double dipping with this game. It was one of my favorite early last gen titles back then too so that doesn't hurt either. But seriously, can't wait to mess around with Kalina Ann combos.

Even if it was just Vergil I'd be jumping in but knowing that Lady is there has me real hype. Wanted to play as her since DMC3. Can't wait to see her and Trish's gameplay and hope they're both at least on Nero's level, if not a bit higher.

It says on the official site that the "Judgment Cut End" move can only be done at maximum Concentration with Devil Trigger active.

This does not line up with the demonstration they showed because he was able to do it without being at full gauge. Probably one of the perks of being in Super Vergil mode.

Alternatively they might mean that the gauge has to be at the maximum "level" rather than completely full. You can see an orb next to Vergil's health bar that begins to glow once he gets it about 75-80% of the way full. I'm hoping that you're right though and it does need to be totally full to do. Not that it should make a huge difference either way.

Concentration has to be at "level 3", meaning past the notch on the upper bar, in order to use Judgement Cut End. They said so during the stream.

Reminds me of the Forward + Triangle move that Agni and Rudra had, the one where Dante hacks up dudes, love that finisher. Like a sword version of Lunar Phase.

Happy to see the DMC support, but honestly, nobody needs to apologize about the reboot because it's a great game in it's own right.

The producer for the game is Takashi Fujii, who's been the executive producer for a ton of Sony exclusive games (if it's the same Takashi Fujii).

I mean I kind of doubt it because Sony already has Bloodborne and SF5 exclusives. DMC5 would be huge, but honestly they have enough exclusives..

I wouldn't be worried. Vergil has been the main focus, but we've still got a lot of time before launch.
