The
car accident
isn't that big of a deal. This is Dexter we're talking about.
The babies ear medicine was in the back of the car, are we really going to believe Dexter drove around town, hit up a pharmacy, got the medicine, and then got into an accident, without ever disposing of the body parts? C'mon.

Good gotcha though. :)

you're probably right but
he normally goes on his boat and disposes of the body. That would take a lot of time and he is supposed to be in a rush to get home

I gotta agree with a couple of people here that season 2 was the best out of the bunch so far. Season 1 served as the foundations and we sorta saw all that crumble around Dexter in season 2. Of all the compelling shows i've watched (Wire, Sopranos, Battlestar) Dexter is probably the most fun and definitely the funniest. The chemistry and writing between Dex and Doakes was amazing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKHmJXgmCVw this is a funny spoof but contains season 2 spoilers

Hahaha, omg. That was so spot-on perfect :lol :lol

All the way down to the creepy drive-by stare, and the loud Dexter exhale :lol :lol

Slightly unusual request.

Can someone with the new Season 3 DVD's try playing episode two on disk one, on their PS3? It quits out to the XMB for me. Seems to work fine in my other DVD player.

EDIT: Seems to be playing choppy a bit so far, so I guess it's probably just my disk! Guess I'll contact Amazon for a replacement.

Lundy's
timing? hardly convenient...the case would be in the papers and he seems to follow anything that fits the profile

Indeed but he is
retired
now so you know he shouldn't be following it that close.

Just use your DVD play :/

And besides I always go "play all" anyway ;)

The article the female reporter wrote made it to front page as mentioned by Quinn, it's not that odd that Lundy would get interested by just seeing the newspaper anywhere and then realize it could be his man

I don't know. It still seems too convenient. Wasn't he in Seattle? And somehow he hears about someone's death in Miami and he's there the next day? C'mon now.

He's obviously a crackpot if no one else believes him, including the FBI, which he worked for for what, 30 years?

Just watched the first episode. I want more. I regret watching the episode now cause now I have to wait for the second episode.

its a pretty common theme on TV for a detective to believe multiple murders are linked while others kind of write it off, nothing "crackpot" about it. it really doesnt seem like its "too convenient" to be believable though.

The new book came out yesterday. Has this thing really been out in England since February?

Much better than the third book so far (I'm about halfway through), but not really up to par with the first two. I only feel slightly stupid having sent a one line e-mail to
bweiss@aol.com
to see what kind of advertising gets sent back.

Yeah Dexter by Design has been out for awhile now in Europe and Australia- you got be hyped it would be the new one Dexter is Delicious- shame on you.

Haven't started reading the new one, but finished the third one a few weeks ago. I thought it was the best one by far. What are your complaints about it?

I dont have any personally aside from the show starting to feel too formulaic/by the numbers. But I felt it was easily better than the completely uneven S2.

Neither season, and no future season, will match the brilliance of S1, however. Dexter really could have, and arguably should have, been a one season show.

he was talking about the book. and i dont agree, there is so much more they need to do with the character.

Like what? Get caught? They've teased at that too many times now. Get killed? Ditto.

i dont have any specific ideas, thats why im not a writer, but they need to expand his actual personality, which i think they are going to do this season. i mean debra is still discovering new things about their father, i think thats a good storyline, and should hopefully lead to an actual reveal. i dont know, it just seems stupid to wish it was one season when the past seasons were average at its worst, and brilliant at its best.

I recorded that Promo commercial with "Under Pressure" and I can't quit watching it.

I just can't. The bad thing about watching the Leak weeks ago is that I have to wait ANOTHER WHOLE WEEK for the second episode.

im glad I was able to resist and not watch the leaks.. that seems like it kills the fun.. you gotta wait like a month for the next new episode.

not really.

also, "Im killing for two now"
loved that line!

only prob I had is
the whole sleep deprived angle. Yes he's a new father, I get that. But (not John Lithgow's) Dexter has never been the type that couldn't resist killing. For the most part, he has always been in control of his desire to kill. I just dont like the way they used it all for the sake of a plot point. Maybe it's just me.

Where's the damn hype for the premier? Did all you fuckers download the leaks and watched it all?

smh

Yeah, kicking myself in the ass for not resisting. Can't wait for next week, Dexter is my favorite show since Six Feet Under.
