Microsoft streaming just isn't that good. Even streaming inside my house from my Xbox to my Lenovo tablet is far inferior than streaming from my PC as far as image quality is concerned.

Also, interesting that Alex joins the chorus of people saying they believe MS is exiting the console business

Re the quality of FSR discussion, the only reason FSR got the level of adoption it has is because of it's accessibility. The fact that it is available on all platforms including consoles was the primary motivation for developers to adopt it. That said, worth pointing out that a number of developers simply refused to adopt it due to it's poor quality. In particular, the bad FSR quality was a direct motivation for Sony to develop its own PSSR solution using machine learning. If you notice, most Playstation Studio devs do not use FSR and either use their own custom reconstruction (I.e. Insomniac Temporal Injection) or they stick to native resolutions (i.e. Naughty Dog, Polyphony Digital, Guerilla, Santa Monica, etc). People wondered why God of War, The Last Of Us, GT7, Helldivers II, Astro Bot, Horizon Forbidden West, and many other PS Studio titles were limited to native resolution...where here is why. Now Sony throws their hat in the ring for an optimized solution that can run on their console and later expand to PC as an alternative option. This alone will be a huge deal for PS5 Pro 1st party developers and will breath new life into the 1st party lineup.

Can’t say I’ve had the same experience. The difference I see is that the PS5 remote play is a little cleaner, but it’s also darker for some reason.

I'd rank remote play Steam > PS5 > Xbox, but I've done a lot more remote play with Xbox since I sold my PS5 earlier this year.
