It's sad that the console launch is having problems. Its unacceptable to have your stash disappear or have your progress lost.

I've been crashing a lot lately I think because of the last patch.

It sounds like a lot of the issues are coming from the console side. Did they have a beta for the console or was it just the PC?

That's kind of messed up. There aren't multiple configurations on the console like there is on the PC (unless something changed over the years). It would make more sense if there was no beta... I sometimes wonder how this crap gets through QA. I mean hell, like they honestly didn't realize that characters were falling through the floor in Cyberpunk, even during cut-scenes.

There is still a lot to improve whether it is performance on every platform or some online functionality on consoles. Makes you really wonder how things would have been without the beta.

Yeah can attest with console issues. I had the stash bug once as well, and I posted a few days ago about losing 10 levels of early game progress after I ended the application instead of saving and exiting. I also lost a level 22 hardcore sorc when the game crashed, and I came back and she was dead. That was an online toon. Now I'll just be playing offline I think. The last few days have been ok for those sorts of issues though

That all said, the games got its hooks in pretty good. I've just got my first hardcore character to Baal, and have hit a bit of an impasse with the the last wave of adds and their seeming immunity to poison damage. That doesn't work well for my poison javelin chucking amazon. The only thing I can think to do is use my respec I still have, and spec to lightning and change back at the beginning of nightmare. I'm a little worried though cause I've got to where I am by dropping poison clouds on things and running away while they tick to death. That won't work as well with lightning

1 immune is fine but dual-immune monster is just straight up bad design IMO...
You are suppose to skip monsters you can't kill. Also, that is why stage bosses are NEVER immune to anything.

You had to be rewarded/punished for either specializing to one element or split into two disciplines. Doing one element gives you max kill speed, but you get entire areas of the Hell difficulty game where you can't play. Dual element or one element and one physical is enough for most solo builds.

The closet thing to be able to kill all with one skill is Full lightning Sorc with Act 2 Merc using an Infinity Runeword polearm. The Infinity grants Convction Aura that can BREAK most lightning resistances in the game.

This only works for Lightning Sorc, because Cold and Fire Immune monsters tend to have overcapped resistances that can't be broken by Conviction.

And of course, for those who play multiplayer, that is not an issue because they have party members.

Im okay with 1 element immunes monster . But two is just bad .

Was playing cold sorc until Hell , then I do the Den of the devil quest. Everything was cold immunes so I'm like , fine Ima respect into orb/fireball sorc . And then the elite/boss was like nope, fire/cold immune . :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Hey all. Im trying to find a video of the old Diablo 2 with the necromancer with max summons before it got patch ( it was 20 summons of each skelly, mages, revive possible and even more if + skills ). It got patched one day and now at 20 skills were top at 8 but more powerful. Anyone got an archine video on youtube somewhere?

Is there a thread where we can post trades? I'm on Xbox looking for Tals Armor and the Occulus. I have several high runes and lots of other stuff hit me up

Trying to get to cow level. I try to make the portal with the cube and my Sorceress just says I can't use this yet. hmm
Make sure the wirts leg you have is from the same difficulty you're trying open the portal in, ex: get wirts leg in normal difficulty, beat baal, then go back to normal difficulty and make the portal to cow level.

Man, I completely forgot about Wirt's leg. lol. And I've already completed Tristram with two characters! It's still hilarious that they included this in the game. He was such a punk in the original Diablo, and there was nothing you could do about it.

Including the cow level was also great. It was such a long-running scam in the original to trick newbies into giving / doing whatever. And it was a cheat code in Starcraft, which came out after: there is no cow level. Good stuff.

I've been playing this on PS4, it has some big problems but a chill couch leveling up experience is worth it to me. I will double dip on PC eventually thanks to cross save.

As everyone knows the multiplayer on console is a disaster, I wonder whose genius idea it was to limit it to quest based matchmaking. Also resetting and spending 300+ points was not fun. I really wonder if the people who can make design decisions are even playing their games sometimes, any play tester would see these problems immediately.

It's interesting comparing this to D3, both D3 now and how it was at launch. Everything is so streamlined now and even the good loot in D3 feels like disposable trash compared to the excitement of finding something decent in D2. Also playing a necro, or any class that needs +skills for more power it's really few and far between to find something that will increase your power - not much different than launch D2 to be honest, that game was ruined by the playerbase expectations as much as it was by the devs. The potion chugging mechanic is also interesting. At first glance I can see why modern devs would think it is clunky and outdated, but there's more too it than that. It allows you to, if needed, brute force your way through most difficult encounters. It's never OP because chugging isn't fun so you're naturally encouraged to avoid it if you can. Something like this would have gone a long way to alleviate the difficulty issues of launch D3 inferno.

Lastly, I came across some fucked up Aztec looking temple in Act 3 covered in blood, it looked like something used for ritual human sacrifice I imagine. The juxtaposition of Blizzard's morality when I saw this was striking. Frightening if you consider the dogmatic controlling censorship mixed with complete acceptance of violence.

Smoked Meph on Nightmare last night, not an exaggeration to say he could barely move with Merc's freeze aura + my unique weapon affix that slows enemies down by 50%, grizzly summon - my main damage dealer - chowing down. I got *two* uniques, a set item and a rare for my troubles.

Well I made it up to Hell, and while I have beem having a lot of fun this hasn't really done anything the change my mind about Diablo 3. I still think it is just a better game. This actually made me reinstall D3 lol

So how good / easy does the cross progression work?

I'm thinking about getting it for the Switch as a work around for the constant occupation of the living room.

Do i need to connect my battle.net account and that is it?

It's not available yet. You'd have to start over.
