Hypothetical question:
What would a good fetish build be if I were to ever find a shard of hate? Since vampire bats is fire, it won't proc shard, so you need a different physical spammer to proc fetishes. There are a few poison options, but none of them are as efficient as vampire bats.
I came up with this just after messing around for a bit, would be good with some poison damage gear. Mana darts to spam when you get low, fill up, go back to plague bats:

Locust swarm isn't spammable, though. Bats is so good because it does damage like twice a second, so it generates fetishes fast.
But it spreads to the whole screen, and continues to do so.
Question is, can the spreads trigger the proc?

Got a Shard of Hate some days ago, now this. Blizzard really wants me to play barb (won't happen) or monk. For now, I guess will be my WD weapon.
Reroll str into Dex or Int and enjoy the best weapon for monk or Wiz for electric build

YAY, my 1st level 70 set piece. i think I'll keep using my Quetzalcoatl mask though as i like its legendary bonus, unless i manage to get 6 pieces of the set for the 6 set bonus

Wow, does that 6 set bonus sound as strong as it is to me? Especially with those buffed over time abilities now :O

One thing they really got wrong with the story is how all of the enemies speak to you via those portrait boxes long before you actually fight them, in a cartoon villain kind of way, it really takes the mystery out of it - and is a pretty lazy narrative structure.
There was a change made to Mirrorball?
They are partially level based, you can start buying from Kadala at L16 and iirc the items go up in level in increments (e.g. from L16-20 you get L16 items and then L21-25 you get L21 items, something like that -- I might be wrong on that, but I remember taking a look at what I could buy from her and being disappointed.)
Given how fast you level and how much gear drops from just playing normally, I wouldn't really bother gambling on anything under L70. Just craft yourself a L61 weapon and a L70 weapon and reforge them with reduced level requirement. You will one-shot all white mobs and kill elites in a second up to the late L50s doing that on Hard.

Yep. Even though it can be ignored, the truth is, those who made the story did not have an ounce of respect towards the narrative structure of Diablo II.
Hrm. Wow, thats a great idea. So your saying make a weapon for L61 and then use the mystic to reduce the requirements. My guy is level 24 currently that I am trying to level up. Whats the requirement drop usually? Probably will still need to level a bunch before I can even use it.

Got my Crusader to 70 tonight and ran some bounties and rifts with a friend. After I few hours I am at 275k damage and 6.7m toughness. It's kind of upsetting how easily I can handle Master(I can survive T1 but it takes too long to kill) and my DH that I have spent so much more time with can barely handle Master.
Could probably handle T1 alot better if I spend some time working on a more efficient build with some +% elemental damage but for now I am just trying out different combos.

I think I'm gonna try to farm some essence of the twin seas tonight now that Captain Crimson set doesn't require expensive gems. 10% cooldown and resource reduction would be quite nice for my crusader.
I am going to tell you my plans, taunt you every possible second while my plan unravels....then when it fails I will then tell you my new plan!

I tried to get the dune thresher bounty yesterday, 20 tries or so and it was never an option.
What's the best method for farming the essence??L61 can roll up to -23 level requirement, L70 can do up to -30. Realistically you will probably get the L61 to the mid-late 40s and the L70 one to the early-mid 50s before it gets prohibitively expensive to keep re-rolling. Before those levels though, you can just drop the highest level ruby you have into a socketed weapon and you will mow through enemies very quickly.

last night i got a nice neck and decided to reroll the vit and keep the all res. i have almost 2k all res and i only have 350k hp. should i have kept the vit and dropped the all res?
on my first reroll i get crit chance and crit damage on gloves.
this leads to my second point.
at what point is crit damage better than crit chance?
i picked crit damage on my item and dps was still red. rerolled for crit chance and it was green. does that mean crit chance is always better dps until 100%?

Pff I hate the fucking mystic. They should atleast change the parameters so you don't get 2 vitalty rolls for example.
On another note I found a leg crusader shield with +15% dmg to Justice. Does every Leg crusader shield come with a +dmg affix? If I reroll it I got a chance to get 10-15% dmg to one of every crusader skill. But it doesn't have crit chance currently so that's kind of a bummer.

There really isn't any simple statistically true point for it like with armour / all res being 10:1
Some people have been talking about 10:1 toughness / hp split being effective.
edit: Though 10:1 toughness / hp split to me feels way too much on the hp side. My hc wizard is rocking around with 350k hp and 10 mil toughness with buffs up.

For Razormouth just check if there is the bounty to kill him active. If is not there, go to the sewers (Belial waypoint) and see if Moontooth Dreadshark has spawned. Is the rare Dune Trasher that hides in some rubble).
Once checked both things, remake game and start again.
1:8 to 1:10 is usually the recommended crit chance-crit damage rate.
Just noticed in the patch notes that they 'fixed' the rakkis crossing sploit. Oh well, I got my leveling out of it. It's the "crazy climber" quest. Now you have to actually kill the monsters between the quest giver and turn in.

Is there actually anything on the crus that breaks frozen? It sucks because every other class I play has something to break it. It kills me sitting there getting beat on while frozen, literally!
Spent a bunch of time with my Crusader last night. Switched to a Shield bash build, and I'm loving it. I actually rarely run out of wrath for more than a couple seconds, and that's without any real regen stuff yet. Really want to craft one of the legendary shields that cuts wrath cost for shield bash in half. Then I'd be rolling. Where do I get the last material from? And are the drops for those still kind of ridiculous?

Use provoke and shield glare to gain wrath back. Also use laws of valor to get cheaper shield bash sometimes. Provoke also helps because I have like 73% chance to block with hardened senses up.

So many angelic shards, I got 5 in the last 2 hours (i already had 1 since i beat act V boss on day 1). Still no plan to use them (the plan hates me) and out of 3 torment rift runs and 3 torment bounty's, not a single forgotten soul or legendary to salvage for 1. Still love the game though .

As thought on WD haunt, its bit OP now as you can basically spam it on all enemies and due to the little mana cost and mana regen speed its basically free. And with any of the runes added to it, it goes from a bit OP to very OP - frankly with haunt the way it is now, it puts Locusts to shame as you can fire it 6 times for the price of 1 Locusts, and the base non runed Haunt is way better than the runed searing locusts IMO (costs a lot less and hits for double the damage).
I like buffs but to me this one just seems very weird, its a good attack that costs next to nothing and can spread on enemy deaths, and with runes you get to hit more enemies, get mana regen, get a heal or slow the target. i recon the time increase and damage increase is fine but they should put the mana cost back to 200 (it would still be a buff over what it was), or put the damage and time back to how it was and put the mana cost to 50 perhaps even 100 (again, it would still be a buff over what it was)..

And once i get a better shield for it I can start to try out some super tanky builds for fun because I got a green lantern or whatever its called. (and a 1 handad flail that I may or may not drop heavenly strength for in the tank build. Scourge proc to stronk though most likely.

Picked up my leg bracer last night that has 12% movement speed. Re-rolled LPS (2000+) to 18% fire damage (could get up to 20%).
I then realized that your character tops out at 25% movement speed, wtf. I would of re-rolled the 12% movement speed since I have my paragon at +12% and boots with 12%. Waste of a nice legendary bracer ):

I love conflag but... ugh. I need more fire dmg. I only have it on 1 item. Because I have more bonus dmg for skills and elemental dmg on gear, I stopped using it. Might switch back but... ugh.
Mirrorball was the first legendary item I found in RoS that actually made me excited to play Diablo 3 again. It's a game-changer. I never even used magic missile before, but now I find it really fun.
I should have expected a nerf. Because I was having fun.
I completely ignore yellows unless I'm short on crafting mats.
Question: Are most people not picking up yellows anymore? Every yellow I have seems to be about as good as its going to get without going to legendary level. Im starting to wonder if its even worth it? It seems like I am at t he point where I just want to speed through and kill as fast as possible and just keep an eye out for legs....
Blizzard isn't Blizzard North, and what's worse, Blizzard post-WoW isn't Blizzard of the 90s.
Diablo and D2 had bad guys. The monsters weren't sympathetic, we did not experience the story through from their perspective, and in fact when heroes from the prior game became villains they were fully corrupt; there are no shades of gray in Diablo. The evil exist to do terrible things then be vanquished.
Blizzard games didn't really have bad guys. Some of the characters were despicable monsters, but for at least some missions we either were those monsters, or at least we aided their cause. And I think that bleeds over into how Blizzard handles storytelling in Diablo 3. They want the villains to be characters, and they want us to hear from them, understand their motivations, get a sense of what makes them tick. I don't think that's a bad idea, except for my latter observation.
Post WoW Blizzard got soft. R rated content became PG-13. Metzen got old and had a couple kids and now everyone gets a redemption arc, and those who don't get redeemed are Cobra Commander types who bluster their way through defeat after defeat. It's like a morality play for the feel good generation. Everyone is OK, even the bad people, and the really bad people? They suck.
Reaper of Souls is a marked improvement story wise on everything Blizzard has released post WoW, so maybe good times are ahead.

Puts me at almost 90. Just need a fire SOJ and some fire damage on a weapon. I love the reduced costs to fire skills too.
Sell them for gold. Upgrading your gems is the biggest upgrade available and costs ridiculous amounts of gold.
That plus the passive that makes DoT skills last 5 minutes makes for the strongest combo in the game atm.
Laws of Justice-Bravery breaks it. But you lose Valor with their buffs (crit or wrath cost red), so is a bad deal unless you have full set.
And yep, Iron Skin breaks frozen too.

Akarat doesn't break it, or at least not the ones I've tested (reduced cooldown and one or two more).
I pick up all yellows and some blues. I alternate salvaging and selling them as my material stock depletes and rises.
They are a major source of money if you don't need the materials and the only way to get mass quantities of materials.
I'll still look at the yellows though it's a rare one that rolls better than what I have. I need mostly legendaries to progress as well.
