Digital Foundry - 4070 Ti @ 1440p proportionally equal to 4090 @ 4K

Sub console resolution for $800. Bravo.

Many console games are sub 1080p. This GPU is more than 2x more powerful than consoles so it will power trough any game with highers settings and/or performance:

Well, if Digital Foundry said so, it must be true.

It's data from performance tests.

I wish the consoles could manage this resolution on the recent demanding games..they are dropping below 900p at 60fps in ue5 games with dialed down rt settings. This gen has been very disappointing for console players fidelity wise.

6 months ago : 900€ 4070ti, 1500€ 4080, 2000+€ 4090.
The choice was obvious.

The 4070ti is a great card even at 4k with DLSS, and it eats anything at 1440p native. Undervolted it barely hits 180w, so it's great performance and silence for my mini itx setup.
Also fuck you Nvidia in general.

It may look good if you judge it out of an historical context of pc hardware relative to consoles, and cherry pick games in this manner, if it was $300 or $400, because this used to be the job of X60 level cards... or even lower if you take into account the ps5 is 3 years old now.

What was the last console that was doing normally the same resolution @30fps than video cards twice the price?. I think this is the best console era fidelity wise since the Dreamcast, or the worst for PC if you wish...
