Digital Foundry Just Hit 1 Million Subs

Whatever they're paying John Linneman, they should double it, because i think a major part in the steep rise in subs over the last few years, has been down to his output.

Nx gamer is extremely impartial towards playstation, whenever I've watched one of their videos it feels like I'm reading neogaf and it's majority of playstation enthusiasts.

They also doesn't seem to need to pause in between sentences so they sound monotonous.
 
Great stuff, and it's going to sky rocket with the new consoles coming out.

They'll get caught in the fanboy cross fire a lot, hope they have thick skin and don't get too stressed by the drama they'll no doubt create.

Congrats DF team, especially John as DF retro is the best thing they output.

I am Impartial on all analysis, glad we agree.

I agree with the speed I talk, I think fast. It is something I am working on with my videos, some of that comes down to time. For example my most recent video was done from edit, narration, some captures etc in 4hrs start to finish. (I had played the game a few days before that).
 
Well deserved. My favorite channel on youtube. That said, when I read stuff like "can't quite get my head around this", I chuckle a bit. It has been a slow grind for them and it's not like anyone didn't see it coming lol
Still, a huge milestone and I'll be there for the celebratory stream!
 
Good stuff, one of the few youtube channels where I bother to watch the entire length of the videos. Much love to DF.

Their late generation analyses get kind of boring because we can kind of predict how the games will fall into line on the different systems. Xbox One X -> PS4 Pro -> PS4 -> Xbox One S

What really put them over the top was DF Retro in my opinion. Who even cares about new games anymore? I just want to go back, bros.

Their videos aren't just about comparing performance, even if that's all some fanboys want to worry and cry about. Their Videos have done great work to explain what RT is, and why it's so expensive. They've done great work showcasing games Like RDR2 showing off the ways in which they pushed real time graphics forward for open world games. That analysis driven side of their videos has only increased in quality as they've expanded their reach
 
Well I guess all their speculation and "analysis" videos where they try and dream up performance tests that make no actual sense of unreleased consoles has paid off. Also shifting from only making a video when there is real content, to jumping at shadows and reacting by making clickbait videos is their new normal.

They'll never go back to strictly unbiased analytical videos. Oh well, usually around this point a main member breaks away and starts a new thing with the spirit of the original thing.

Well deserved, they are the best in what they do, I especially like the recent addition of PC optimized settings by Alex, I wish them all the best and to continue to grow and develop even further.

Yeah, PS5 looks like it's overengineered, in the bad way, with all those unnecessarly fancy shapes of the internal and therefore external parts (or maybe it was the other way around?), while XSX looks like just a bigger Legos, where you just stack up few squarish parts with each other and there you go.
 
Glad for them. Honestly surprised it took them this long as I've been watching their stuff for probably at least 8 years or so. Watched their livestream earlier, was pretty cool.

Microsoft let DF and Austin Evans do a tear down because they were confident in their hardware, confident enough to give it to someone who was shitting on their platform until Xbox One X release.

Yeah I think it was more to do with MS having a point to prove, let a an impartial third party do the tear down instead of some loyal company man.

Oh no, Xbox must have paid for all those subs. Will this enable DF to do even more plotting & planning to spread FUD against poor beleaguered Mother Sony?
 
I would have imagined they did this ages ago. The population that cares about graphics the way we do is truly small.
 
Digital Foundry lost me as a subscriber months ago and gained a lot more of them since they joined the Microsoft marketing department. Congratulations. Their move proved to be a success... for now.
