yeah it works in red dead redemption 2, I can confirm. I set driver level DLAA and preset J and set the in game DLSS mode to ultra performance at 1080p. safe to say, it surely did not render at 360p. nice to know that it also works in marvel rivals and overwatch 2. that's rather great.
Set it to "latest" and it will use the new preset K (apparently better J)

Only works for the games supported by the override since theres a new dlss dll (310.2.1) and we cant select preset K with the old one in unsupported games i think.
Think we'll have to wait for the 570 driver.
I have the new driver and RDR2 installed. For some reason, RDR2 appears 2 times on the app and none of them let me change the DLSS model.

Fuck is this? Did they forget to add the option or what? :goog_relieved:
Uninstalling nvidia app and reinstalling did the trick for me

Am i gonna be able to use the new model in the future without using the fucking app or dlss swapper or anything external?

I'm not in a rush for now.

Like is it ever gonna be as simple as going in the graphic settings of a game and choosing transformer instead of cnn??

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife

I'd assume any new game will point to the new model by default. But that's just my guess.

Going to try that, thanks!

BLOP 6 not supported and none of the games I'm currently playing supports it. Meh, swapper it is then.

Guess they are whitelisting what games being "allowed" to be swapped from the APP, not ALL games listed that uses DLSS can be overridden, but most (of mine).
Strangely they allow overrides in online-games, that is games I'd never try due to anticheat possibly tripping.

Yep, this did the trick for me too, thanks again!

Now I'm able to choose from Value A to Value J on the model override. Guess J is the new one, will try it later with RDR2 and maybe Dragon's Dogma 2 as well.

Does RDR2 have support for the New Transformer Model or do i read it wrong?
Because that would be a reason to play it again.

Try picking the "latest" option or whatever it is in your language (theres a new value K, which is improved J)

Is there an option in the settings or how do i choose the new Transformer Model?
Not in the game, maybe theyll update it, but for now you have to use the Nvidia App:
Go to Graphics -> find Red Dead 2 -> scroll down until you find "DLSS Override - Model Presets" -> Super Resolution -> pick the "Latest" or "J"

Both K and J are the transformer model (K should be more stable)

If you want to use it in unsupported games then you need to wait for someone to upload the new dlss dll or use the old one for J, manually swap it and set DLSS preset to "0x00FFFFFF" for K or "0x0000000A" for J through nvidia profile inspector.

So if I do the profile inspector an changed it to preset J globally, and manually changed the dlss files, what do I need to do for the new driver etc?

Just loaded stalker 2 up, switched from DLSS quality which I was getting 120-134fps to performance DLSS using the new transformer model now getting upwards of 160fps while still looking great

Had to rollback to the previous driver because the latest one was giving me graphic glitches in Godot. Damn. :lollipop_pensive:

Tested Cyberpunk benchmark on the same settings(PT, ~Ultra preset) with old FG vs new FG:

Old FG = 77.82 avg, 70.76 min
New FG = 81.03 avg, 73.45 min

Something weird about this new driver. When I enabled Nvidia performance overlay fps crashed out and almost locked up the game, then it slowly got back up to speed. Never had that happen, even with Nvidia App.

I'm also experiencing issues audio crackle on Lossless Scaling which I never experienced in recent in-depth testing. When I have more time tonight I'm going to dig into it and see if they're fucking around.

*EDIT* Now I can't right-click my desktop. :messenger_poop:

LINK TO NEW .DLL

Probably need to use profile inspector to force preset K for unsupported games. Will test.

EDIT: Drag and dropping it into FF7: Rebirth is causing a crash on launch

EDIT 2: profile inspector tweak seems to have it working

whats the difference with preset K
should force it to use the newest version of the transformer model driver. I'd expect that they'll make incremental improvements to performance and IQ as they have previously, but can't test for myself at the moment right now.

hoping it's better at resolving foilage and hair transparencies as the 3.10 version seemed to be bugged outside of ray reconstruction

This is what nvidia claims: improved temporal stability, reduced ghosting, and enhanced detail in motion

(J was pretty much a beta version of K)
can i add preset K to the nvidia app or gotta use nvidia profile inspector? and if i gotta use profile inspector should i just set frame gen and dlss preset to latest in nvidia app?

For overrdrive supported games yes, for unsupported gotta at minimum swap the file and possibly use inspector too if K isnt new default (ive written how a few posts above)
This regedit lets you see what dlss preset youre running if you want to check (works globally, dont forget to turn it off)

4K DLAA in RDR2 looks beautiful. Same with Cyberpunk. Control also looks great.

Man, makes me wish Valve would go with Nvidia for a Deck 2 (not gonna happen, I know) because even at 1080p, it delivers super clean results.

At least FSR 4 is looking pretty decent, and I think Digital Foundry was saying better than PS5 Pro's upscaling.

Surprised Hogwarts Legacy got updated with DLSS4, thought I'd give it a shot but was pretty mixed on my 3090. The raytraced reflections now look massively improved and DLSS definitely upscales better, but the performance hit was a kick in the nuts. Going from a locked 60 down to 45-55 is certainly noticeable. Dropping the raytracing to medium and DLSS to performance (still a nice upscale but has noticeable shimmering/aliasing along stairs, walls etc) hasn't had me back up to that locked 60 like before. I guess the new DLSS takes a toll on older cards.
