Quick, someone shop Dr. Doom onto this:

I hope this movie can top Swordfish. I mean, that movie was just BRILLIANT at displaying hacking...

So these people with superpower are gonna fight against a hacker? He gonna be controlling doombots or something. That's the only way this could possibly work. And why his villains always have to be antisocial? The best villains are charismatic.

It sounds so awful. Maybe even worse than Galactus cloud.

FOX already screwed up with the Storms being different races, so it makes sense they would completely ruin one of the best Marvel villains.

People may disagree, but I actually agree with you. Mostly cause I felt they should've went all the way and made Sue black as well.

i dont think a ff movie could work. the characters are just too cheesy.

the ability to stretch? how much can you really do with that?

Well, Sue ain't complainin'.

This sounds so awful. Fantastic Four was what drew me into comics, so to speak; The Thing is my favorite character, the Silver Surfer a close second, Jack Kirby my favorite artist, Doom my favorite villain. They already screwed up Galactus. Is this going to be a brand new origin story for the FF as well?

Here's your basic Fantastic Four pitch:

Its Doctor Who crossed with the Incredibles.

It shouldn't be this hard to get it right.

It's like they really want this to fail.

They want to hand it back to Marvel broken.

Jokes on them, Marvel will bide their time by looting the cosmic elements for Avengers and Guardians sequels.

If someone were to accurately shop this, you'd have Doom's head buried in Jackman's lap and the Fox logo over Jackman's face.

Fox sucks.

They keep making Fantastic Four movies because they think they're gonna have a hit on their hands one day, but they never actually put the effort behind making a movie good enough to succeed.

With how well Fox did reviving X-Men and Planet of the Apes, there's still hope that this could be a good movie.

I get that it's not the same as the comics, but I don't get where GAF's seemingly collective vote of no-confidence comes from. Regardless of Fox, the director of this movie made the very good movie Chronicle. He's brought at least one actor from that movie into this one. Why would he go from Chronicle to directing something on par with the quality of previous Fantastic 4 movies? This is the same director slated to direct a future Star Wars movie. Why not give him the benefit of the doubt?

Yeah yeah, Fox.

Not when this is what they're doing to DOOM. The guy is the perfect supervillain and they just can't seem to not fuck him up. All they need to do is use comics DOOM and it'd be fine, but no they have to put a spin on it.

We did give him the benefit of the doubt. We got anti social computer programmer Dr Doom.

People aren't mad because it isn't the same as the comics, it's because the source material was good, and this sounds awful

Is his wrath directed at the Fantastic Four because Grimm is a troll and Johnny Storm starts flame wars on Doom's site?

Also, The Thing and The Human Torch are just internet personas now, not actual super powers.

Part of me is hoping that the actor just read a bit of the script and misinterpreted it. "This guy built and programmed a bunch of robots and lives with them in a castle. Got it, anti-social programmer!" But throw in the blog stuff and all the other bad signs and I know that's just wishful thinking.

I really wonder why Fox is so afraid to have a proper Dr. Doom. You've got a stretchy guy and a dude made of rocks, but a guy in armor and a cape is too crazy.

Nope. He says he's a fan in the video interview, and he's actually read the comics.
