awesome! Oh, not sure if it was answered anywhere but, will the new episodes air the same day on BBC America as they do in the UK?
They should be. Sadly, I do not have cable, but will be finding it online somehow.

So excited for the new episodes, if my custom Phoney Bone was not evidence enough.

EDIT: Holy shit, I just realized I blew past my 10,000th post and had no clue. I knew I had a bit to go, but didn't expect to just blow right by it. Guess I got a little too excited in the Fringe thread last night.

Why don't they just release Douglas Adams' script? Seems pointless to novelize it, especially if the novel isn't going to be written by Adams.

Out of curiosity, for the first time I've been watching episodes of oldwho in the run-up to the new series. I watched The Deadly Assassin, Arc of Infinity, Survival and Terror of the Autons.

A few random thoughts...

- I watched Terror of the Autons to appreciate the Master's first appearance with Roger Delgado. I like this approach to collected evil, this is much better than seeing the hyperactive shenanigans of John Simm in drag. Does anyone remember how minimalist and tacky the cliffhangers were? From TotA, Jon Petwee gets strangled by the Master with a phone line. Also I cringed when Jo got attacked by a condom. The budget issues were apparent, that's part of the charm.

- God, the Timelords seem incredibly bored in their ridiculously theatrical costumes, generally their stories were unexciting. Nonetheless I enjoyed the Matrix sequences from TDA and Omega is an interesting character.

- Survival; a typical corny plot that begins with the Master possessing a small black cat and cackling, still Sylvester McCoy was an awesome darker doctor. I was amused by how he belittles many of the characters, this contrasts with the very friendly doctors in nuwho.

I'm planning to go through Tom Baker's last story next, Logopolis.

Logopolis is shite and the regeneration in there feels tacked on and stupid. Caves of Androzani is a far superior regeneration story.

It's been released on VHS, and as an audio with Paul McGann. Plus Adams himself recycled it into Dirk Gently.

Yeah it’s been dull so far, it’s mostly just been Adric and the doctor inside the Tardis running around in circles, it’s a time loop of some sort, I’m not entirely sure. It’s similar to the recent comic relief special actually. You see the police box exterior inside the Tardis control room.

23 DVD complete series season 1-4 GET!

:) Finally I own them all myself! I'm going to make a watching-marathon with a buddy who only knows the series from my neverending stream of praise!

It'll be short as he's in that episode for all of 2 minutes and has no lines of dialog. You just she him crawling onto a radio tower and falling to his death. He then regenerates into Davison and then Davison spends the vast majority of the arc in a box.

Wow, I hope I'm remembering that correctly.

You're thinking of Castrovalva, which is the next serial.

Logopolis is a full Tom Baker story.

Yes, well I enjoyed the cheesy banter and the dysfunctional teamwork between the Doctor and the Master.
"I envy you your TARDIS, Master." "Excellent, Doctor; envy is the beginning of all true greatness." Anthony Ainley knew how to camp everything up, even his running was.

Some of the concepts were interesting such as the ambiguous watcher and the Logopolitans with their silly hair and technobabble mathematics, which was for calculating and controlling spacetime. I can’t say it was a well-paced story and it’s weird how the Master’s return is treated as a surprise. I just felt meh about the fourth doctor’s actual death, shame really; Tom Baker seemingly had the ability to make anything watchable.

In regards to that episode name, the last episodes with similar names
The Doctor's Daughter
and
The Next Doctor
were not exactly about that the names originally hinted at, so the episode could still easily be about anything even with that specific of a name.

Ah, I'm cleansing my eyes of that horrid NBC adaptation of a treasured DC heroine with this glorious view of things yet to come. I feel like a Time Lord that just saw something out of place get fixed in the timeline.

I thought that was bloody Tennant for a second.

My word, this looks spectacular, but we must know more. Everybody to Nickiepoo's house. Bring the pliers.

I am excited. And I really want a gif of River Song in the trailer. That majestic shot where she is turning around. I am properly hyped. ^_^
