Would be funny if we got a new Clara from a different time period every episode and they all died.
I'm betting some manner of splintering through time.
Watch City of Death for a previous example.
So, it's early yet, but I'm gonna lay down a bet now that Oswin is actually somehow River being reincarnated out of the computer.
I'm in love.

Wish we had animated avatars.![]()
This is the most I've been excited for a season since the last "season" with Ten.
For a season? Hey, we're still in the middle of a series, remember?
Wonder what the Series 7 box will look like. So many elements to contain, between 3 companions, a bunch of iconic monsters, two new title sequences, recurring characters like River and Vastra, and the inevitable desire to wrap it in some 50th feel.
Will it include last year's Christmas Special?

I'm in love.
The Series 5 version of The Doctor's Wife had House as The Great Intelligence, but Moffat had Gaiman nix it, presumably to pinch it for this. Also, for those wondering, the London Underground weakness the Doctor already pointed out was exploited by The Great Intelligence and thwarted by The Doctor way back in 1968. This show!
Excellent episode. Clara is amazing. Sort of sad it's a slight cop-out on an actual period companion and it appears she'll be from the present day, but other than that, I am massively, massively pleased. Top stuff. Miles better than Amy already. Also worth noting: Clara's birthday on the Tombstone is the same day in November that the series first aired. Probably deliberate, and knowing Moffat more than just a harmless nod.
And here we go.
I'm not sure I want that. Personality definitely matches though.
Five bucks says the Great Intelligence doesn't just use humans as puppets and they are controlling the Silence.
According to wiki. . .Couldn't Clara / Oswin be the daughter of Captain Jack (when did he first arrive on Earth after the Satellite 5 incident anyways)?
I suppose that could explain why she cannot die (unless this issue has already been touched, you'd figured he'd have multiple offspring everywhere)
The Great Intelligence is a villain from the old Doctor Who serials, who at some point attacked through the London Underground.Great Intelligence = leader of the Silence? Kovarian was merely a puppet?
The Great Intelligence returning means Ian McKellen returning, right? Right?!
He also uses mechanical yetis apparently, so... who knows?Five bucks says the Great Intelligence doesn't just use humans as puppets and they are controlling the Silence.
I'd be shocked if we saw the Great Intelligence again.
Again, this was sort of a prequel to the old Who stories about the Great Intelligence.
Yeah, probably. It's kinda a lame villain, given the whole "no corporeal form" thing.
It makes for some intrigue. A villain that can act through any living being.

Didn't Smallville do this in their final season?
Can't say I know for sure. I bailed on Smallville early.
Also, Fiction, are you alive? Doctor dressed as Sherlock Holmes!
The Great Intelligence is a villain from the old Doctor Who serials, who at some point attacked through the London Underground.
So it was a callback to those stories.
Is Clara the same girl from asylum of the darleks?
Ok I'm so confused. River needs to show up and slap ClaraAsk Moff!

River resetting the timeline at the end of series six.Who's the Doctor's "other friend" who resurrected Strax? Maybe that'll tie into Oswin.
Awesome episode!!!
Goddamn you Moffat...you better resolve this one in a satisfactory manner this time lol
River resetting the timeline at the end of series six.
she shoots JFK to save the Doctor and they bump into the Red Dwarf crew
When the---oh, fuck, you're right. I forgot the alternate timeline was contained entirely in the last episode.Eh? She never did that.
