The Technomancer
card-carrying scientician
Moffat's Radio Times Summary:
This sounds fucking awesome. Its the "just plain weird" that I feel the show hasn't had enough of lately.
Moffat's Radio Times Summary:
Dirk Gently, hired by someone he never meets, to do a job that is never specified, starts following people at random.
Oh god, these are all beautiful, especially the dinosaur and Wild West one.
I think the dinosaur one is by far the weakest.... ::shrugs::

The poster for Dinosaurs on a Spaceship just drives home further what I thought since I first heard the premise: its looking like an episode written by mashing two popular things together so a certain segment of fans will go "zomg two popular things together!"
Sounds like the comic version of The Lodger (10th Doctor moves in with Mickey).
Again, WHY DO THE DINOSAURS NOT HAVE FEATHERS? It would've been awesome for the Doctor to encounter them as well as keep the show up with latest scientific trends.
Doctor: Hmm, dinosaurs seem a lot more...feathery than I remember.
When was the last time he came across them in his travels?

Unless we count the pterodactyl in The Wedding of River Song, it's the Third Doctor's Invasion of the Dinosaurs.
A surprisingly clever and subversive one, absolutely wrecked by the execution.
Oh god, these are all beautiful, especially the dinosaur and Wild West one.
PLEASE GOD let someone avatarize that picture of Matt's face, preferably pointing, while on that Triceratops.
Blame America. Seriously, they do it with all the television series over there, including How I Met Your Mother. It's to give the illusion your show runs all year long, with re-runs in between. But in the end, it's just so, so infuriating. What's even more pathetic is that the series is starting so late, so we've had to wait months anyway. When Series 7 finishes, it will have been two years since Series 6 started.
I'm assuming that Dinosaurs on a Spaceship will treat it with the tongue in cheek mood that the title implies.
It's not copying the U.S., more like adapting to their schedule, since BBC America help with the funding or something (Hence the America episodes) as well as its increased popularity there in recent years. If they're copying the US, then they're doing it wrong, because when we do it it's with seasons of like 22 episodes instead of 10.

I'm really skeptical about Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, if only because the concept reminds me of that godawful Red Dwarf episode. Hoping to be convinced otherwise.
On the flip side, A Town Called Mercy reminds me of that awesome Red Dwarf episode.
Although I'm not entirely sure if you wanted the triceratops in the picture.

Quick google search shows me this: Invasion of the Dinosaurs

We've come a long way since the Third Doctor.
They had a small clip on breakfast TV this morning:Rory hands Amy the divorce papers !!!!1111!!11one
One thing I will reveal from the new episode since I've seen it a few places is that (not a story spoiler)the opening title sequence is ever-so-slightly unique to the episode.
Are the vortex or the fonts changed at all, or is it just the logo?
Oh fuck me why did I read that?
I thought that bit was well known.
No. But the official description implied that that might be coming. Doesn't mean I like it. As long as it is handled well I will be ok.
And loved part 4 of Pond Life. Rory's lunchbox was awesome.
That's not too bad for the time.
I couldn't tell if they were humouring him because it was bad coffee/tea, or just to get him out of the room.
"[2013 is] a very exciting year for Doctor Who. I feel very pleased and privileged to be a part of that year because it's the biggest year in the show's history. It's his birthday, so it's my birthday. [The special] won't just be a televised event, I think it will be a live event. The way it's transmitted on TV will hopefully be an inventive thing–something different."
I can take an Ood making breakfast in an apron, but Amy's awful wig takes me out of it every time.
This will bother me the whole day now. But...can you really humour an Ood?
