well, this is going to go over well. Personally, I would take Riddick, Halo 2 or Ninja Gaiden over Burnout 3.. but its a really really good game, so its not like its a bad choice.. but a non exclusive game winning is still going to go over like a lead balloon.

I can tell you the games that won't receive GOTY, as it logically follows:
Halo 2, Riddick, Half-Life 2, Rome:Total War, and Unreal Tournament 2004.
While MGS3 deserves GOTY honors, I think GTA:SA will receive it.

Why should you even take country of origin into consideration when discussing such a thing? I expected Halo 2 or Half-Life 2 to be my GOTY, but they both disappointed (I still loved them, of course, but they did not deliver all that I had hoped). On the flipside, MGS3 more than delivered and suprised the hell out of me.
What the hell would you choose for GOTY? Sounds like YOU are biased against Eastern games. Most of us are judging by the quality of the experience each game delivered and not basing our choice on country of origin. However, that seems to be exactly what you are doing...

I'm guessing they realized their "mistake" when GOTY time came around. I'm positive the last few years of GS awards have been based solely on score, and this year certainly doesn't seem to buck that trend (although it's possible that the overall GOTY is not based on scores).StoOgE said:
