Does Uncharted have the shittiest highest Difficulty setting ever?

You guys are puss puss playing on Crushing. Try playing on Brutal on the original 3 for the remastered version. 2 shots and you're dead. It gives it a very realistic tone to the game to have patience, use the environment to the best of your abilities and to be cautious, almost like in real life.

UC1 remains the hardest of the platinums still. 2 and 3 are a joke. But that Brutal from UC1 in the Airplane Crash, Circle Room and the Blue Room.... well, I still did it... but... *pulls out hair*.

Also, you're doing UC4 Crushing wrong. It's the easiest Crushing of them all. Get Infinite OP weapons and the Slow Motion perk and watch the magic.
The trophy dates will rat you out if you use cheats. Lol. Gotta pop them all at once

It's a shit series in general.

The one Sony game whose appeal I never understood despite owning the PS3 trilogy.
What exactly is shitty about it, sir? It's an action tps with cinematic story; if you don't like it's fine, but doesn't means it's a shitty serie just for that, Jeez if I hate superficial opinion like this.

Funny thing, I enjoyed crushing on Uncharted 1 the most because it basically boiled down to you having to do a Hotline Miami-style perfect run to the next checkpoint/level. The enemy spawns were always set and scripted so you didn't have to worry about too many RNG variations.

That all unfortunately changed with 2 and 3's version of crushing, where RNG A.I. would randomly kill you from a random angle during a good run.

Lost Legacy was nothing. Try playing UC4 on Crushing. One chapter near the end was almost impossible.
UC4 on crushing was a joke compared to the older Uncharteds due to better and more fluid gunplay mechanics and smoother engine lol. UC4 really is I think a much easier game on harder difficulties.

Never tried lost legacy though.

I just got the platinum for lost legacy and it requires you to Complete the game on crushing Difficulty, and holy fucking shit this was a pain the fucking asshole
Enemies spotting you 10 miles away
Covering does jackshit because they can shoot through walls
One shot killing
Also is it just me or the controls become wanky as shit later on?
If you did it solely for the platinum you do know that you can enable cheats if you've already completed the game on any difficulty and it won't stop you from earning trophies?

Who doesn't like MORE bullet sponge? Yes UC crushing difficulty is simply hard mode done by lazy monkeys. Up the bullet sponge, make player 1 shot, enable aim bot for enemy and call it a day.

Not to go too off topic here but it's always such a let down when playing higher difficulty modes and the only changes are enemy health increases and fewer shots required to kill you.

Games like Halo always stood out as the AI became 'smarter' and was more aggressive on the higher settings. This changed things quite a bit during gameplay.

As someone that almost exclusively plays every game on hard mode or above I find that my experience is often completely different than others playing on normal or easy modes. Those players can often cheese the game, don't really have to engage with its systems or even be concerned with anything other than steamrolling towards completion.

Have to say that's why I have come to admire single difficulty games that are a little more challenging. Higher difficulty almost forces the player to engage more and to figure out what works. I understand the requirement for a 'Story' level difficulty in narrative focused games but I wish devs would otherwise just drop difficulty settings altogether and focus more on smarter AI.

So many games were ruined by being too easy and allowing players to ignore or not engage with in game systems and mechanics.

Yeah, I know, but if you beat the game on Crushing the first time, all the trophy dates will be the same. To use the cheats, you have to beat the game first.

Oh yea, of course. You have to have whatever amount of points to do that. So a second playthrough is a must. And personally UC4 has a 6 hour time trophy. I did the Crushing trophy legit first and then the time one since that is technically harder.
