Around 80% is possible if certain circles have their way to keep it lower than Astro Bot or Rift Apart or whatever mascot game wannabes, though it's hopefully gonna be a way better game than that'd imply and on par with other Nintendo flagship titles in quality, not just in experimental ambition.

I'm a bit confused about the American review system as for example IGN has historically seemed to have an inflated rating system. But personally I think that from 1-10 it'll be an 8. Which is very good, but not at the same level as Odyssey or Galaxy.

Regardless of what the meta critic score lands at, you gotta take off a minimum of 20 points of meta critic scores of Nintendo games to get the real score.

Mario odyssey had a meta of 97 but in reality, the game was at best an 80. It was good but nothing special. The same thing happened with BoTW but that was even worse. It was like a glorified tech demo. An empty boring open world game. A 6/10 and complete waste of money.

Donkey Kong from initial previews and gameplay looks to be an 8/10 game. The destruction is its best asset from what we've seen so far. Everything else is pretty mediocre.

The great thing about Nintendo review threads is they always give me lots more fodder for the ignore list (you're on there now BTW, don't bother replying)

I think Nintendo usually don't use CGI Trailers, it's all about the gameplay.

Last generation Nintendo didn't price any game except BOTW, TOTK, and Smash at full price in all markets where they had variable pricing (Europe, Middle East, Asia) and yet several other games from them hit 90 or above

If I compare myself to someone who spent the better part of the last two years shitting on the hardware and now claims that all Nintendo games are 20 points too high, but spent hard earned cash on a fucking Switch 2 MKW bundle + cyberpunk 2077, then I'm a fucking genius.
