Yup and everyone here knows Nintendo is the ONLY driving force these days pushing great games in the industry, but now you are going to usual suspects trying to pawn off second rate games as " done it first " to try to down play something as usual with a AAAA Nintendo multimillion seller.

When I get this game, I'm going to pick up the biggest boulder I can find and just smash the living shit out of everything until my withered, middle-aged brain starts producing endorphins again.
 
They better fix that camera clipping through the level before release because shit looks rough.
 
Looking Treehouse gameplay I was 100% sold on the game, it looks pure fun.

And its not all that far from the launch window, it basically comes out the next month.
It does look like a lot of fun. One of my favorite games on n64 was Donkey Kong 64. So i am glad we get another 3D Donkey Kong after so long.

It will probably be the first game i get for switch 2 besides bravely default HD.

All main devs?? Perhaps you've never heard of Astrobot? A platformer with crazy physics that aren't just destruction it's also 2024 Game of The Year 👍🏾

I don't see how this game is supposed to be fun. The destruction isn't that detailed and kind reminds me of Minecraft in a way.

Donkey Kong is supposed to be a platformer and I didn't see a lot of that in the demo they showed us. I hope it turns our well but idk. It just seems like something that would get boring fast.

It's a valid concern, but with all due respect to the Volition of old, I'd trust the team developing this from a creativity standpoint a lot more. That said, nothing they've shown so far has wowed me and it being a launch title probably works against it.
 
As a donkey kong 64 enjoyer this one doesn't really look that appealing to me but hopefully the more we see the better it gets. It's been a long time since a new 3d donkey kong game so im rooting for it but I'm not impressed thus far.
 
The chances that this won't be great are slim. I will say I was hoping for something more traditional in a 3d DK game as opposed to something centered around a gimmick that has the potential to break the traditional platforming part of a 3d platformer, however, I have a ton of faith in the Odyssey team.

They know what they're doing. Odyssey was fantastic if not a bit on the easy side, but being easy is all Nintendo games lately. These devs understand game design and know how to make a game fun, with super responsive gameplay and tons of polish.

This is kind of where I'm at. It looks a bit gimmicky, but I adore Mario Odyssey and the movement options in this look just as good, if not even better.

I do agree that it's fun to see Nintendo experiment more with physics/destruction in their titles though. Looking forward to seeing more.
 
Let's wait and see if they're actually going make the game continually engaging or if it's just going to be more insipid korok/moon hunting.
