What the fuck HDMI cable company. I bought a cable from you guys, its says its HDMI 1.4, but the fact that it doesn't display 4k content at all proves that to be a lie. I left a negative review (The only reason I bought the specific cable was for the 4k support), and now they keep calling me (Why do they have my number Amazon?) and they are now sending me a second 25ft cable despite not taking any of the calls.

You win HDMI company, 5/5 Stars LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!

It likely ended up on the wrong airplane. It does happen.

I was looking into my Secret Shop order being shipped to me despite my cancellation and this shit is actually weird/funny. I e-mailed them and got my order cancelled and refunded on the 11th of August, but the shipping invoice shows that the order was placed again on the 17th and shipped on the 21st under the name "Kahafer Kiefer", which is not my name, or the name of anyone I live with. I initially thought it was someone else's package shipped to me but it was the EXACT same order I placed on the 11th. I contacted We Love Fine and they haven't responded back.

Like you wouldn't play a dating sim featuring Krobelus-san.

This thread is fucking painful. Mostly for the discussion on 4chan.

What's everyone's most expensive item in their inventory?

Serious question. Why do people play Visual Novels? Just read 50 shades, twilight or some other bullshit book like those.

If people need to ask if Gone Home, Dear Esther, etc are games, why don't they do the same question regarding VNs? It's beyond me honestly

Don't forget Tidehunter.

Those tentacles, yum.

Serious answer: not all VNs are porn. And even the ones that are porn, you generally do have to choose and play along, and there is something to be said about being the one in control, as far as personal satisfaction goes. On more than one level. Unf.

Source: I dunno I have read a lot about them but the only one I've played is Phoenix Wright.

But also: what Haly said.

The two sides would be really lopsided. All the girls are humans and pretty and the guys are either roidfreaks or fur-monsters.

Girls: CM, Lina, WR, Luna, TA, Krob, PA, Drow, LC
Guys: Invoker, AM, Kunkka, DK, and then it's like, what? NS, Tiny, Slark, Tusk, PL...

I'd let Sand King seduce me with that voice of his though.

The only VN I've played is Ace Attorney 5 (and I am aware of Danganronpa's existence). I found that to be pretty entertaining and the art is nice.

Also I could follow along perfectly fine despite being the fifth game in the series.

I think Phoenix Aghs Ult is probably the most romantic spell in the game.

One thing that a lot of Visual Novels do is having multiple routes. The most cliche example of this is basically letting the player choose between ending up with Girl A or Girl B. This is clearly a game mechanics thing that novels can't do, hence a reason for it to exist as a game over a novel. Most modern Visual Novels also take this to the next level by having only pieces of the story be revealed in any one route, thus letting the player who replays the game multiple times through different routes experience the "true" story. Often times getting the "best"ending also requires you to have gotten the non-optimal endings too.

It's like Groundhog Day/Edge of Tomorrow, the game. To get the girl/save humanity, you need to fail over and over before learning the tricks involved.

I've played a handful of VNs. even the sex-driven ones tend to be more interesting than a comparably poor written smutty novel or whatever since they're easier to get in to. That said, sex is secondary in the vast majority of VNs, honestly. Even with dating sims it's more about completing each girl's path (honestly it's a bit sexist now that i put it to words) or seeing every ending.

After 2 years of trying to convince my friend from HoN to play Dota he's decided to quit because the game crashes all the time, gg thanks volvo

Just like choose your own adventure books.

If you TP to your safe lane and go to the jungle or rune spot when there's a Techies on the other team they will go away. They are too afraid to do anything when they are being watched.

Consider getting the Ace Attorney 1-3 collection thingy, while I really like 5 I think 1 and 3 are still better.
