for instance, if you cast arcane bolt on PL and he doppelwalks to escape and then reappears, arcane bolt (which is undisjointable) will be disjointed

That's how it's supposed to work, though. Doppelwalk casts a dispel on you when you use it.
It being able to disjoint undisjointable projectiles is a different kettle of fish imo
So 'can't be disjointed' isn't actually a rule in Dota, just a kind of guideline?

If OD banishes himself after Skywrath casts arcane bolt but comes back before it reaches does it still hit him?
Tobear is saying that a slow projectile won't "track" PL after Doppelwalk ends, but before the projectile actually hits.
If this is true, then it's actually unintended. Technically, with banish effects the projectile is still locked on you, but it fizzles when it hits your invincible/hidden self. For example, you're invincible/hidden during Sleight of Fist. If you touch a projectile during it, it won't deal damage or affect you, but if Sleight ends before you negate the projectile, it'll hit you after you come out. Doppelwalk should work like Sleight, but apparently it doesn't?

whatever it's a shit spell just put one point in it like my fav pro
must have been some kind of server timing/synchronisation issue, since on replay the arcane bolt misses while PL has disappeared, but in the game it hit him after he'd reappeared and did no damage to him

Undisjointable projectiles can only be disjointed by banishes as long as they hit where the hero would be. So OD prison, SD Disruption, Phase Shift, etc all still have some "marker" where the hero is, and the projectile can hit that but of course since the hero is banished won't do anything to them.

Stiv I hope you can see this message now that the chat has died down. I wanted to say congrats! I know you can do a little bitter but I always want to tip my hat off to you.
