generally your charge is what jumps you into a fight, you already have a mechanic for that may as well use it. Doppling into a fight also gives you illusions to make more illusions and cause pl chaos.

Might just be personal preference but I don't like to initiate with doppelganger and rush (being the standard lv 1) has a small range.
If you aren't the first one in you can get a couple of attacks before being noticed and that will almost surely spawn some illusions and even if you are unlucky with those you can just use your manta.

Battle Fury and Daedalus and you wait for the enemy team to be clumped up? If you have to you throw an MKB on top of that, maybe Skadi, Deso, AC. Rapier should be a later item. If you die once, game's over, you already lost. Do you really want to gamble the entire game on buying one item that could lose you the game?

This is not the fun way to play the hero. Moreover, this is not the way to use the hero to his full potential early and mid game. I remember that when I was playing Ember, Phase and Drums would make the hero a monster. With a good timing for battlefury, Ember is really strong. No need to aim for Daedalus when midgame items win games.

With Blink and Battelfury, Ember becomes a kind of Kunkka who marks the spot, blinks and hits ultra aggresively.

we've come full circle: people have whined about split push meta, deathball meta, 5-man push meta, 4 protect 1 meta, AoE teamfight meta, and now even the glorious ultimate promised land kill/gank meta. I think the #1 complaint in the 6.86 wishlist thread was basically "i kinda miss split push. i kinda miss farming. i kinda miss x. nerf kills blabla." Just a bunch of people listing off past patches and strategies. People just want change. There is no promise land strategy that everyone will love for all time and that's why we need new patches every few months that just throws a wrench in the game, not just tweaks/"balances" it.

A new pick phase would check this box of wanting new shit too...I can sorta understand 4 protect 1 but I don't know why people would want rat dota back. That was very frustrating to play against.
