That wasn't the only reason we lost. We didn't have wards until 7-8 minutes if I remember correctly. I asked for help but got none, Pudge rotated and ganked me setting me behind when we had no wards. No one could help me kill invoker, thus setting me behind to 15 minutes BoTs. I did what I could but it wasn't much as the team just was not together. That Clinkz itemization just didn't help on top of all that.

The point was he was playing one of the best pushing heroes in the game and clearly made no effort to push. Even if March doesn't damage the tower he should have tower damage even from right clicks.

Someone who plays Pudge a lot should not be getting picked off by an opposing Pudge. He's easy to avoid. If all else fails, buy your own wards. I know that 150 gold that would have saved your life would have been insurmountable with a fantastic farming hero like Tinker, but losing 240+ gold by dying probably didn't help either.

The problem wasn't the Clinkz. Sure, his item choices were questionable, but for the most part your team had bigger problems just looking at the match overview. I am not a fan of Support Naga when you're not in a five stack, she's too good as a split pusher/semi-carry to use her for a glorified escape mechanism and single reliable snare. On top of that, your Naga and AA fed. Your Brew seems to have been passable but not amazing. I feel he should have a better KDA (seems uninvolved in fights at 4-6-0).

You know how you win that matchup against that lineup? You suffocate them. Pudge and Invoker like having space to roam around and pick people off, the same can be said of Slardar to a lesser extent. Silencer and Disruptor aren't ideal supports, they are definitely good, but AA + anyone should have had a slight upper hand until the game went really late. So how do you suffocate them? Well you pick a good pushing hero, and plow through their towers. Maybe a hero with a good AoE pushing skill who gets escape and transportation items as core. Like a Tinker. You even went for a pushing build--Soul Ring, BoT's, BD--but didn't give your team enough space.

I never felt safe pushing though since we were already being suffocated by the time I had BoTs, the game already felt lost at that point. But I guess that goes back into your first point. Pudge is still hard to avoid if he could be coming from any direction and you have a cold snapping Invoker to set up the hook.

Yah this is more #soloqueuelife whining cause the MMR shit gets to me when I'm playing on my own. Like thinking of it just like "oh I only need to win a net positive of 12 games" but that shit turns out to be impossible solo queueing and just rolling the dice with what sort of team mates I will be getting.

My friend laughed when I told him my MMR cause he definitely expected me to be mid 3k from how much I've played with him but sucks to suck and RNG with which team mates and I had shit ratings games so now I feel like shit cause of it.

Blegh. I hate grading systems. I shouldn't have bothered with MMR.

My main account is 2.4k mmr now and it's actually impossible. So now I just use that account to mess around with the people on my friends list and use my smurf to solo queue which has 3..6k mmr (and rising) where I find the game much more enjoyable and much easier to win.

I break this up whenever it happens and tell my carries to go farm or leave 'x' anti-push hero at mid.

If you tell your team to watch out or call CD's it helps convince them to either get off their asses and push or to go farm.

Worst one I've had happen is SK ults 1 person at their mid T1, I say to push after we regroup, they kinda flake, 'whatever go farm', they push mid again and I call 60s CD on SK Ult, everyone faffes about, we go away, they come back, 'SK ult is probably up, care', then 3 of them run into SK ult and die.

Well,I forget the exact wording but Tobi ended up with noone sitting by him, James noticed and sarcastically pointed it out like a true Brit should, and then when Tobi tried to turn it around Bruno slammed it down further. honestly I feel bad for ESL. I guess it was just bad timing + a mix of people being pissed about the dreamleague items being late? We actually got a lot of flak for that because of them, even though we delivered early, let alone on time. I mean, it sucks for us too, since we get paid based on the compendium sales. So even if you like the hud and ward you should buy it!

We used starladder and dreamleague for reference as how much to expect and.. well.. it's barely 1/3rd of what they got.

The games are free to watch too, maybe that didn't help? I really don't know. For those that didn't buy it but bought starladder or DL, what was the difference for you? better matches? better timing? the items? first compendium since ti3?



I actually have no clue if they will. I REALLY hope they add it in a chest later down the line if the goal isn't reached.. or I hope they lower the goal. I don't know. It's still two months until the finals though. TI4 compendium seems to have stopped any progress . It would suck if it just never got used.

Honestly I think a lot of it had to do with timing by the time it came out TI hype was already in full swing. Plus the goals also feel so far away so its slow growth is probably making things worse

This is what my friend suggested for me to do. He told me it's going to be nigh impossible to get out of my ditch and just use a smurf for actual high MMR play. Dunno. I feel like it's a cop-out to do so and I'm stubborn and want my actual account I do everything on to be successful. Like I haven't even broken 200 wins on my main (I played a ton of DotA 1 and had a decent amount of experience coming into DotA 2).

My Solo MMR is at almost 4k and I'm pretty confident I could reliably stomp 2.4k pubs. I think your smurf MMR will drop to your actual level soon.

Also, I think MMR is a shockingly accurate metric.
