Think of your mana like a health bar. If you don't have the mana to get in, do your thing and get out, don't jump. The Blitz coaching Pyrion video on his channel has some more basic tips if you want.

My friend said that grouped up people are more likely to end up on dire. I never solo queue, and I'm never radiant, so there must be some truth to that.

got my first daily hero done.
Took my half a match after going mid against a Drow and kind of losing because i never played TA before, to realize i could use meld to nuke people as i right clicked them. After that it was smooth sailingish. We won 23 to 33 and were down. good feels. Now time for yoga.

Dude likes him some malefice that's for sure.
Certainly is, probably is one of the best damage abilities in the game late game. That said, I typically just get a value point early, but I prefer the extra duration on malefice as far as levelling goes.
4% hp loss per second is still highly useful as a relatively cheap zoning spell, and you really need the duration on malefice to keep them in the aoe for more than a second or two anyway.
What I will often do is hold off on demonic conversion level 4, as 3 points is more than enough for jungling. At level 8 with a 3/3/1/1 build, soul ring and mek, you can get a lot of shit done.
Seen some people hold conversion at level 2, but level 2 conversions are a little bit thin for my level of micro.

I was almost where you are now, but I took a step back and quit solo ranked until I get good enough so I can single handidly win games. I realised that Dota wasn't fun anymore in ranked.
I can understand that you're especially frustrated because of your equipment being broken though.

Hellborn Grasp will have one of four Warlock specific gems.
DK Immortal will have DK related ones.
Just buy the cheapest one available, or search within that item for a certain gem type.
Asap is after you level the other stuff right? Cause the ministuns are amazing for ganking and the little guys are great for taking towers? It's not that MP is bad just that everything else is even better.

The gem won't say Warlock specifically, but it will have one of his skills on the gem. For example, one might say "golems summoned" or "golem kills," etc.
DK's would have "dragon tail stuns."
Only buy the Inscribed version of those items. Just pay attention to the gems attached and make sure they're the right ones.
Light of hope bundle was given out. You can now get the Dragon ward too.

I've been playing ranked for the hero challenges and it's much less enjoyable than random draft or single draft. Way worse attitudes in players, super quick to blame each other, just toxic

Everyone wants to win, and it's understandable, it's just that a lot of players try to win by themselves instead of using teamwork.
At least in my trench.
Look at AM ability progression. Look at Rubik's...
AM usually just burns DS's mana early on and just leaves him standing there.

If he didn't take blink at 1 I could've killed him, if he didn't take shield I would've killed him. Burning his mana doesn't work, ds will get soul ring first and the shells will kill am first if he has invested points into mana break.
