On mobile so I can't go in depth, but I actually think roaming support Riki is very powerful. If you look at my dotabuff, all my latest Riki games are doing exactly that.

For when you're not on mobile; even with the value of smoke, I feel like BH falls into a support role much more naturally
rikis so clumsly early on that the gank pretty much needs to be set up for him, instead of him setting up the majority of the gank

whadda you think makes it stronk pick?

Starting clarities, tread swapping, drums are enough. It's all about using your Q smartly.

Items are blink bkb mom(i dont like that much personally) AC crits

Thanks :)
I do buy starting clarities but after I hit 6 and get the ult I felt like I had no mana for more than one stun (aka back to base every single time you use them)
I think I'll try soul ring like someone else suggested.

I don't understand why he hasn't gotten another nerf yet. The frog must not know how to nerf him exactly yet. I doubt he'll get into CM in his current form.

Probably because getting hard metrics is difficult for a few reasons.

1. Not in CM, so that diminshes a lot of pros ever touching him.
2. Not a high pub winrate because he has such a high skill ceiling. We all KNOW the hero is good, just his winrate doesn't show it.

Some changes that would make him worse and easier to play at the same time would be ideal. But I don't know how you'd go about making a hero easier to play without buffing him in the process.

He'll probably always be a hard hero to play well but his winrate being about as low as Wisp's(right?) is a bit ridiculous especially since he doesn't rely on teammates all that much.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
I think Frog is at a loss for how to nerf him without disrupting his playstyle, which is perfect.

Holy shit.

You know when you have one of those games that just completely goes to shit. You aren't farming, you're losing towers and their carry looks scary before 10 minutes. One of those games you just want to abandon and be done with..

Just had one and turned it around :DDD

My mate bottom was having a horrible time bot, so Jugg their side was getting fat. He had Phase and MoM at 8 minutes. I was feeling super squishy top and had to just soak XP. Literally 10 seconds after I complained how tricky it was to come back when so far behind, we won a team fight and did just that. Feels good man.

I went from 2475 MMR to 1825 MMR in the last two weeks, and it's really getting to me. :/ I'm generally around 2300 MMR and I have never dipped below 2k before. I can't make sense out of this sudden drop.

I have almost 1.4k hours in the game, so I'm already bad, as is. Feels bad.

I'll take a month-long break, I think.

My highest was 3k and my lowest 2.2K. I went from 3K to 2.2K. I was initially at 2.4K and I am sitting now at 2.5K. It is just the variance of MMR which is high at this skill bracket.

Plus you might be at the point where you want to try new heroes, so your winrate is worse.

Just pick Sniper or Troll.

Or Necrophos.

Yes, last YB game enemy team had picked snipe, undying and warlock and we had zeus and PA it felt bad and went bad, down a rax with not much to show and then surprise, someone has enough points for lvl3 speed, seriously felt like that black kid at the party gif, PA goes beast mode and we kick their asses in what felt like 5 minutes.

I find all the crying about hats versus tournaments strangely fascinating.

I buy tournament tickets (and even compendium points) for one reason alone: hats. Unless I'm actually going to a tournament, which is rare, I couldn't care less about having a LAN final. Sure, as a tournament organizer, having a LAN final is tremendously expensive. Flights, hotels, venue, all that kind of crap. The difference it makes for me watching on Twitch? Nil. Even the things that LAN tournaments could potentially do better--scheduling, local lobbies with pause-free gaming--aren't done Valve may be partly to blame (I don't know if the issues between local lobbies and Dota TV have been resolved), but for the most part, the root issue is that this is a video game being watched from afar. Tournament organizers have to offer something more than "LAN finals" to justify interest in their tickets.

Then, of course, there's the production values contradiction. The only thing that a ticket gets you is the ability to watch in Dota TV (both live and through replays). I use this from time to time (I used it a lot more when tournament replays were watchable offline, as I'd watch them on long flights, but Valve has broken this capability). While watching in Dota TV can be nice (especially if you want to study a particular player, check out stats, or as mentioned, watch replays), it also omits all the production values things that broadcasters are doing. Dreamleague has had things like showing success rates during the draft. But only on Twitch. Dota Pit is doing action replays of big fights... but only on Twitch. Even worse, during the action replays, Dota TV goes quiet! Most production values efforts don't make Dota TV worse, but the action replays do. You're better off watching in Twitch, without the ticket, than you are in Dota TV, with the ticket! If broadcasters continue to experiment in this area, I only expect this to continue.

And god, it's not like there's any shortage of pro games to watch each day. OK, not all Tier 1 teams, but Tier 2 matches are fine most of the time. HR-4ASC today was a good series, for example, and it doesn't matter that it wasn't top tier teams.

Buying tickets is asking for us to pay for something that we can already watch for free, and the free (Twitch) version is _better_ than the paid (Dota TV) version. Doesn't it stand to reason that you'll need to include some hats to make the ticket worth it?

The ES just played very well. There are plenty of other players who would just be unable to pull that off, my self included. Earth Spirit, like meepo, are high skill ceiling heroes, but Meepo has become an icon of Dota 2, so he is played slightly more.

They had the team comp to push highground yet couldn't? I assume Dp ulti and taco mines were able to keep them back?

Mines, and they kept just engaging in stupid fights in the middle of the map. Death Prophet was frankly terrible; it's a struggle to get that little hero damage on a DP I think. She didn't build tanky, so they could just burst how down every time she popped ghosts. But yeah, having Techies means that losing a lane isn't a big deal, and stasis traps are frankly incredible in team fights.

At the end they did the classic "feed one by one as you respawn instead of waiting for the whole team to be up" and we took their ancient easily.

I was sort of hoping Valve would continue to ignore DNADota's stuff.

Hope the Nexon Compendium has some nice loots attached to it.

Super Sayan Wraith King

Also the TA set could be this one, we don't know, Valve renamed the TA set

If so last week was boobs Luna and this week is legs TA.

Oooo Sith's is legit. I'll take that one

Why are there like six sets but apparently four chests? Surely there are more.

Summit chest? Starladder chest? Nexon chest? Yearbeast participation chests?
who knows

Also this rave courier lol, cyber baby roshan

The only disappointment with the sets is that there are some heroes that just seem to be getting ignored. PA had a whole event dedicated to her arcana just a few months ago.

Playing with a magnus as tide

We get a lot of early ganks, tons of stacks (supports stacking for both of us and us also stacking) , we both have blink refresher at 25 minutes

very next teamfight SF sblade ults on top of me so i instinctively mash my magic wand key, only I just put my refresher in that slot 10seconds ago.
I then hit noone with my ult as magnus skewers sf away towards the rest of his team, magnus hits only sf with his first ult and noone with his second one after sf is dead

We were all laughing pretty hard

We still rolled them

Don't get me wrong, i like the ez sets, but YB mode is starting to feel pretty off. Picking just degenerates into a race to get as many of Axe/Zeus/Sniper/Warlock/Omni as possible.

- Razer, Tinker, and NP create a tonne of DPS
- Pugna ward destroys casters
- Gyrocopter, Lich, Veno, AA, Invoker, ES, even Pudge are pretty fun

And those insta pickers are used to playing against the same heroes. Throw in a curve ball and it could be an easy win for you.

Only way to win is to not play.

Lich is my most-played hero in general. I've just yet to really test him out in year beast mode, because the aforementioned work so well. I'll mess around with some of these, though. Thanks.
