Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen PS4/XB1 |OT| They're master ports all, you can't go wrong

I’m surprised you could tell underneath all the massive chain armor she wears. :p

Hey, I'm using her right now, level 27 fighter I believe? I am a bit higher than that but I like her style so I take her anyways, hahah.

Thus isn't good. Was doing reynards escort mission and he died. Lost his main and escort quest.

Always put port crystals on the destination first before taking any escort quest. That way you won't have to worry about safeguarding any stupid ass npc and just teleport for instant completion, haha.

So, I bought the remake on xbox one yesterday. I have tried it on ps3 but never got into it.played I few hours on xbox but felt the same.
The thing is that on paper it looks like a perfect match for me and I know that many consider it a masterpiece but I can't seem to get into it. Maybe I should play as a magican insted as warrior?

Any tips to a guy how's trying to get into dark arisen?

I just got her to level 31 after I forged a copy of this letter and completed a quest twice. I'm almost disappointed in that she is 20x better than my twink of a dude as my main.

Have you tried the Strider/Ranger vocations?

I seem to be getting a lot of 5 star max review rankings for my immortal Mage which is really nice, and some great gifts too including bitterblack rank 3 stuff to purify.

Thanks if it's anyone reading this 😀

Does anyone have any tips for improving a mage character? I'm currently way over my head in Bitterblack (level 30) but enjoying the challenge and loot hunting!

So I'm level 32 and have maxed out affinity with fighter and now ranger (20 levels fighter and 12 levels ranger). I want to add some magic att/def to my build but don't like playing as a mage/sorcerer. Do You think I could get away with 30 levels or so as a Magick Archer or Mystic Knight?

I'm not really going for min/max but I am aiming for a more rounded assassin build and I know having magic will help with certain weapons.

Go with Mystic Knight, it has a more balanced Stat distribution than Magick Archer, so it's perfect if well-rounded character is your goal.

That's what I was leaning towards. It's a close call but using a stat planner shows Knight gives a more even build.

The last time I played an assassin I was a bit flimsy. I had massive damage output but died too easily for my liking. The extra HP and Def should help a lot.

I wish the game had some kind of glamour system. I fired very fast my PC copy and reminded me how ugly BBI gear and weapons are (exception the Darkening Storm shortbow, that looks sweet, Longbow looks bad though :()

As a Strider/Ranger I like the low level gear more, for a better "natural" look.

Need help... PS4

How do I trigger ensnare?

I have it mapped at triangle, but when I'm using knives 'strong attack' (?) is mapped to that button. Anyone?

Just got hit by a falling boulder and died fallen off a cliff, in doing so lost half an hour of progress. Really hate it when it happened as I didn't hear it until it freakin hit my face.

Skills must be performed by also pressing shoulder buttons in conjunction with attack buttons.

R1 or L1 switches your attacks to the mapped skills for primary and secondary. So I think that will be R1 + triangle. The icons and names change when you hold down the L1 or R1 so you can check.

L1 + R1 will also allow access to hotkeys on D-Pad. So set your lantern to up on the d-pad in your inventory and L1 + R1 + up will get your lantern out / put it away.

Thank you!!! I was pressing the left shoulder button for bow, but never thought to press the right one for the knives... Can't believe it!

I know it from playing the PS3 version and figuring it out, but I can't remember; does the game actually tell you that you can use L3 and R3 to do things like manually aim your spells, lock onto certain enemy body parts, or lock onto yourself for things like the elemental buffs?

I switched to the corset and pants look so let's see if it does earn more RC? 🤔

lol, just signed in, another 188k RC. Not as high as over the 300k I got yesterday, but switching to pants and corset "worked" last night. Gamers ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

What Dragons Dogma 2 needs (Capcom, pls, stop sitting on good IP and doing shit with it) is loot boxes. Stick panties and corsets as legendary skins in loot boxes and see the $$$. Yes, drop rates for some DD loot is low in the game as it is, but killing yourself and hitting retry takes seconds. Before anyone says to my satire "but you're enjoying a game with low % RNG!".

Not that I'm sure it'll go this far, but:

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen PS4/XB1 |OT2| I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took aught in the knee

Bring up the item you want to hotkey in your inventory. Press the assign hotkey button - look for screen prompt I can't remember which it was. It then lets you assign it to a direction on the d-pad. Then when playing you need to hold down L1+R1 to then select your hotkey shortcut. Normally d-pad is for controlling your pawns.

How can I cast fire (ice and so on) with the standard-attack (circle button)?

You need to use (or have a pawn use) an elemental boon/affinity/pact spell on you.
That'll change your default staff/archistaff Magick projectile into an elemental one.

Wait, so after switching to 'sexy' clothing you only got half as much RC? Playerbase redeemed?

Maybe I should let my male pawn wear pants and corset too.

My other outfit (same as this really but with shirt/skirt) was nearer 24 hours of pawn time. 188k is nearer 12 hours.

2 x 188 = 376k. We can still make it (¬‿¬)

Maybe I should let my male pawn wear pants and corset too.

If you haven't seen it yet there is a trophy to be earned by
wearing a dress on a male main character
. It helps with a quest too!

The Witcher 3/CD Project Red are Dragons Dogma fans confirmed. For that hilarious "quest" in TW3.

My mind is blown
Ive played thru this so many times
Too many times
How the fuck did i miss this feature lol
Omg

Shit, I didn't know that either about the shortcuts LOL.

I love this fuggin game..

This may be the wrong place to pimp my pawn on the PC version, but here...

Steam ID: SouljahSvejk
Platform: PC
Pawn Name: Twigg
Pawn Level: 102
Pawn Vocation: Warrior

She's evolved much from the pic below (from the PS3 version). Her hair is pink now and has armor moreso. I have her geared to protect the Arisen at all costs, when the Arisen is in trouble.

I wish I could view my pawns adventures with other Arisen's,
maybe with a re-play feature similar to street fighter's replay channel.

Ah, maybe for the sequel.

Deep Down never reminded me of Dragon's Dogma personally. I don't know why people keep on bringing it up as the "Dragon's Dogma sequel we never got".

From the trailers the combat looked much more slower and it reminded me more of Dark Souls than DD...

It's more inspired than a true sequel. It's also where Capcom clearly put their resources and focus. Then look at how that has ended up.

I know there is the DD MMO but that never even made it to the West. No idea how good it was.

Where would the best places to plant port crystals?

Tbh I should probably put the eternal ferrystone back in storage, I hardly get to see nighttime now and I'm probably missing on combat experience from fighting my way back to Gran Soren....

Vastly differs to how I played Vanilla Dogma with its nighttime treks.

I agree, what with it's presentation and gameplay (what little there is/was), but lately, I've been thinking that it WILL be used for DD2... Not the gameplay and art direction obviously, but solely testing the DD2 waters for co-op and engine/physics performance.

Also, Deep Down... It's a code name for the sequel... DD (also abbreviations for Dragon's Dogma)

"Deep Down" is to "Dragon's Dogma 2", what Final Fantasy XIII Versus was to FFXV...

Where you get them I feel. I found 2 and they were both in outskirts.

I don't even know if Capcom are with you at this point.

It's a race to see what comes out first. Deep Down or Agent.
