Dragon Age: The Veilguard director refused to discuss sales number in post-game release interview

Eurogamer really do have a hard-on for this fucking pile don't they? '10/10....better than Baldur's Gate....unmissable.'

Then even after the user reviews and poor sales figures expose them, they can't stop posting articles worshipping the shit.

Yup, no way in hell this will do anything near Inquisition numbers. Inquisition had an overwhelming amount of stuff to do and places to explore, and it got 3 expansions. Veilguard seems a lot more like a “1 and done” experience from what I gather.

Those player counts will just continue their predictable decay and will only spike up temporarily if there’s a deep discount. Heck, in a couple months the concurrent player #s will probably sink below Inquisition and stay there.
Past two nights it bottoms out at about 4,500.

Should hit the 3,000s next week after the weekend spike.

BioWare’s new Anthem:

BioWare’s doors are closing tight,
The team is gone, turn out the lights.
From writing tales to packing fast,
The dreams they built just couldn’t last.

Once they crafted worlds to share,
Now they’re left with empty air.
Unemployed, they face the cold,
The stories gone, the jobs on hold.

From heroes' hearts to silence deep,
BioWare’s team is up shit creek.

Plenty of haters on dragon age 2, inquisition for sure and I don’t think those are bad games, so the biggest thing for me is playing Dreadwolf for myself, the internet just loves taking advantage of game launches, sale numbers and putting pressure on developers to keep remastering the same game over and over (last of us) I’d love to see these nerds in real life.

Sorry but this topic is so fucking ignorant to how companies function. Why would a director be allowed to give out financials in an interview about a game. FFS companies never allow people to blurt that shit out until there is a formal release of some sort.

If it did very well, there would have been some statement released through EAs comms channels, not some fucking director.

I wouldnt read too deeply into it. It's just another way to dunk on a shite game that was pushing blatant non needed agendas in gaming 🤷‍♂️

Thought this was interesting from the full interview:

They're definitely going to detransition Dragon Age if it gets another sequel. The gender woo shit absolutely backfired and now they're going to walk it back.

That sounds more like excuses for how terrible Veilguard was in comparison to its predecessors, imo. As well, even if they tried to make a game more in line with previous titles, it's evident the talent left the building long ago.
