u really sure that u want Bioware to handle a DAO remakester after this one ?
I did not know if it was owned by Bioware or not. I know they made it, but I did not know who actually owns the IP. I guess if not them, then EA? If EA can get someone good to do it then... yeah. It's EA though, so I don't really trust them. Arent they the ones that said things like get used to not owning your games and also single player is dead?

First option should have been "Yikes!"

Metacritics "critic" score, lol, makes me puke, the user score is only important there, user score should be higher priority than "critic" score
Except, on Metacritic (and soon, Opencritic), there's no way to verify the person leaving a review has actually played the game. Making the user score completely useless. Steam reviews are the only ones worth a damn.

So I did some digging and skill up is banned on re because he has a second channel (his brother's, laymen gaming) which is "alt right" and he is a piece of shit for supporting his brother.

Think of that what you will lol

Skill Up and his brother are guilty of being one thing:

Australian.

Australianism - which is a condition that affects over 25 million people - means that you don't have a high tolerance for silly bullshit, pretentiousness, or entitlement. It also means you are plainly spoken, and don't beat around the bush.

On ResetEra, it is impossible to be Australian. Anyone claiming they are suffering with Australianism on ResetEra has a further, much worse affliction, called 'being a poncy cunt from Melbourne'.

I think what he tried to say that BioWare who released DAO in 2009 and BioWare who is releasing Veilguard in 2024 are very different studios. A lot of people who made Origins left BioWare and ones that are currently working there seems to have very different priorities and approach to the series. Even if they would make Origins remake, it may become a very different game from its original version

DA was never something I was drawn to but what I'm taking from how this game seems to be written and how the gameplay operates is that I should stop wanting a new Mass Effect game. The result is likely to be shit.

Biggest red flag ever when there are 10/10 reviews and also 6/10. The game is absolutely perfect or it's not...how the hell can it be a 10/10 while reviews are saying that the combat gets boring and repetitive and the writting is all over the place. I don't want to think bad but looks a lot that the big scores are just for having DEI stuff and not for the quality of the game itself.

What is funny (more tragic than funny since i used to love Bioware) is that they have destroyed themselves trying to go after the modern / dude bro whatever audience since mass effect 2. Every game they make is slightly (or a lot) worse because they (or EA) thought that old school style won't ever be as successful as action which BG3 just destroyed as a hypothesis.

They did what Bioware used to do (only better i guess) and they have sales that Bioware wouldn't get even if Bioware added all their previous 5 games together.

The definition of congratulations you played yourself.

Funny thing is that he was the best BioWare writer 10-15 years ago, I mean, he was Mordin’s writer.

Not a really bad score but compared to their RPG counterparts that came this year, it does feel disappointing and low and thats without the negative reviews thus far.

He summarized the entire game in one sentence and then provided receipts. Bioware will not get a single cent from me.

Its not even that, game is too offputing to buy it even with big discount, there is a reason it doesnt have denuvo(25k usd/month paid to keep it up)- no sane pc gamer will wanna pirate it even :)
