Question GAF. I have an SSD as my main drive with windows installed. I have a 1TB normal HD attached but it is not being picked up as space to install games. My SSD is nearing full, do I have to assign the normal HD to be slave or something in bios? I need to install dogma! This is a new construction btw.

In the client:
Steam>Settings>Downloads>Folders (Or something like that, I'm not using Steam in English). This way you can add other folders where you want to install games on.

Do you mean that Steam isn't giving you the option to install to that drive? You have to add the second drive to your Steam libraries in the Steam settings before you can choose it when installing a game.

Or do you mean that the 1TB drive isn't detected by your computer at all? That's a bigger problem.

It's likely a simple solution within Windows, he needs to go into disk management and assign a drive letter and format.

You can create a second SteamLibrary on your other drive, Steam then lets you choose in which library you want to install the game.
You can do this by going into Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Steam Library Folders -> Add Library Folders -> and choose your desired location.

joined the Steam group, let's see my friends list exploding on Friday...

I will try this / the steam library when I get home. I believe my computer recognizes but it isnt in my computer as a drive.

Created a Steam Group for Dragon's Dogma for NeoGAF, it's public so anyone can join, but who cares if non gaf members join all we need this for is for speedy friend requests

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/dragonsdogmagaf

now we don't have to keep posting profiles on gaf.

posting on new page. 100+ members strong, come and get while it's hot so you can have easy access to many gafers for friends when the game comes out.

Should you be picking up all the rocks and branches and stuff? I remember playing the og release and getting overwhelmed with all the junk I had in my inventory.

I joined the Steam group, pretty hyped for this game.

I remember playing the PS3 demo and really liking it, but the performance was not that good so I've been patiently waiting for this release.

Nah. Most of the junk you can pick up is literally junk. Some of it will be used to upgrade materials, but generally if it sounds important--pick it up. If it looks like a consumable, pick it up. Otherwise? Leave it. You can always find more if it's not from a chest.

It's a bit overwhelming, but you should keep all that stuff,
some quest will be like I need 30 pieces of hair or branches, and they will in return give you something better :) hording is good in this game.

There is really no harm in picking anything up....some quest require 30+ 60+ "useless" pieces of whatever.

not sure if there's confusion but in case there is, joining the steam group does nothing for the game, the group is there for you to have easy access to a list of DD players. You need to manually add every person to your friends list. Made very easy with a browser though you can open a new tab with each click and go person by person.

Added myself to the group.

I'm pretty excited to play this. I played for a few hours on the PS3, but the performance issues made me stop. So glad this got a PC port!

60+ hours and...I can't say that I have ever had that. Full reviewer version from company here.
Now I am going to have to go look for it

Yea, that seems like a bug. I don't recall that ever happening to me in my time on both the 360 and PS3 versions.

I'm very excited to play this on Friday! Is it quite a long game or does it compress with experience like Dark Souls? Should I stop comparing it to Dark Souls?

I'm not sure what pawn is best for my sorcerer main
a good tank or a healer/supporter
I guess it depends on what's harder to find, since I have to get new pawns from other players all the time
so what's harder to find?

if that's an option it'll still take more time, unless you find a pawn you like and the person's pawn keeps leveling up at around your same level. I played the game the first time offline, no clue how they'll handle pawns being overleveled than your main character.

Someone said you get less EXP, but I don't remember that being the case. Overleveled pawns just make the game super easy.

Yeah there was a code option in the leaked version.

I know that YOUR pawn won't ever be overleveled, but yeah if your friend's pawn is overleveled that could make the game too easy. I'll see how it goes, I might have to switch to hard if it gets too easy.

I've sent an invite to most folks in the group so far. I'm sure that tomorrow there will be more. But having at least 100 is nice, you can choose between 100 free pawns.

There are some "random encounters"
he's probably talking about those bandits that will attack you like 3 times randomly in different parts of the world. It's sorta tied in to a quest, I forgot which one was it.
(It's the one were you get this letter, that's says watch your back or whatever)

Just purchased the game via GreenManGaming for $22.50. Looking forward to it. I'll be going in completely blind, but I've heard good things about it! :)

The harm is having to go back to town because you're over your weight limit, or having to micromanage your inventory so that you don't go over.

Yes there are quest rewards to get, but I really don't recall any of them being worthwhile until BBI.

LOL what are you complain about, they give you a infinite fairy stone usage right?
This was more of a problem for the vanilla version-just saying.

And yes, you do get more exp if you solo. When your main pawn is with you, he/she/it will gain MASSIVE exp in order to catch up to your level.

Yeah, but someone said having high level hired pawns lowers your EXP gains.

If I remember correctly after X patch , this was the case,
I guess there is no limit lv cap anymore...I always thought that was stupid of capcom to add, but I guess way to many people complaint about how hard the game was.
