Played for 90 minutes and... yeah, this game is as good as everyone's making it out to be. The music and Dust's animations are especially noteworthy, simply wonderful stuff. Great job Noogy. ;)

Going to repeat what everyone has already said. Amazing game.

Everything just fits together so well. Very nice controls, beautiful art and incredible music. Add a good story and a decent length and I can't really think of a single thing to complain about.

About Fidget... when I first heard the voice acting I though it would get on my nerves fast. One hour later I didn't mind it and was enjoying the dialog. By the end I was actually caring for the character. Don't know if it gets better and/or I was just so "into" the game.

Again, fantastic game. Highly recommended... even to the point of not waiting for the Steam Summer Sale!! (that's probably against some rule...)

AMAZING GAME and I had to double tip because its just that good!

One thing I was having was some freezing and some BSOD screens. my CPU was going CRAZY!!!! I checked and my cpu was running at 100%. I know its been posted about fixes and downloading some other .exes and setting "Set CPU affinity to two cores" but I didn't know what that was.

I found a easy solution.

When in the game all I did was HIT

ALT+TAB to get out of the game then HIT

Control+shift+ESC for task manager

Found dustaet.exe and right click on it. there will be a option that says "SET Affinity" all I did was set it to two cores and its no longer running at 100%. I also set it to one core and had no problems. make sure all process is un checked.

Hope this helps everyone out!!! Back to playing DUST

oh by the way: an option to change between automatic and manual conversations? Why is it this game that has to teach all other games?

Help guys I'm stuck...

My current main quest is
to go find in Abadis forest and find the leader. I went through the forest but now I got to a point where the path is blocked by a fire and I need to find a way around it... I've been looking everywhere and I can't find a path.

Edit: Found it
Had no idea that the yellow walls were destroyed with bombs...arghh

As TotalBiscuit said in his video, this is port Noogy made that Noogy himself would want to play. So much love, effort and dedication evident in the end result of the port.

A PC port by a gaffer who understands the needs and wants of the PC audience in Neogaf when it comes to PC ports.

Go up where the fire is. You'll find a wall you can break to make water flow down.

At first I thought the projctile attacks were overpowered. But the further you get the more you realize the game is turning into a shooter. Even the different types of projectiles represent shooter weapon archtypes. You have wind spread shot, fire cluster bombs, and lightening homing missiles.

Later in the game there are areas I go through without touching the ground. I reign down 600+ combos like hellfire.

This game is awesome..

This looks fantastic. Noogy, is there any possibility of a Mac version in the future? (Sorry, hope that doesn't count as port begging). If not, I may just finally have to figure out Bootcamp.

I was all ready to go download this and found out I can't :-( I just removed my windows partition a week ago. Oh Well, looks pretty.

Nearly eleven of Her Majesty's finest Pounds Sterling has been sent to filter through Valve's grubby mitts, and hopefully six of them will make it through to you, Noogy.

You may want to spoiler tag that for people who haven't played it yet. Especially XBLA fans.

Yo convince james silva to bring those games to PC

i believe in you Noogy

Also I will definitely pick this up down the road sometime when I have money to spend. Looks like a great PC version.

how many hours to get all the acheivements?
I think the in-game playtime said around 15 hours (some of that time was messing around with FRAPS though).

(I accidentally left it running overnight, so the Steam playtime is borked)

Haven't been this satisfied with a Day-1 purchase for quite some time. Game's the full package - art, music, gameplay, story,
easy achievements

This game literally does everything right.

It's actually misleading. Your point of no return is reaching the last boss (A flag on the map which marks areas to go). You can go back even at the very last save point and teleport out of the area. And there's a save point right before fighting the last boss, so it works out fine.

Yeah but that is only a couple screens later. Regardless you are warned.

But you are right in that you really don't need a warning since there is no real "point of no return." Just a final boss right before a save.

This game is actually kind of great. Like a 16 bit era top down action RPG only with the perspective swapped. It reminds me of Crystalis and Soul Blazer.

I should have started on hard, though. The game is easy especially if I just spam and don't try to do cool, varied combos.

The enemies (including bosses) are cannon (sword?) fodder even on the highest difficulty level. It's just not that kind of game.

It's still fun though, in a kinda soothing way. I held off buying it on XBLA forever and I'm glad I finally get to play through it now that it's available on Steam.

Question about the cages (spoilers only for the most anal:)

Who are the headphone wearing ducks?

About the cages, and an admission that I have another big omission in my XBLA games played:

Is the Fez main character stuck in an homage to Where is My Heart, or are there sections like that in Fez too? It was kind of weird running through what seemed like the first PSN game reference I've found so far. I had thought everything was an MS published XBLA game reference until then and then Fezzy guy jumped out and confused me more.

Either way, I'm loving all of those sections. And all of the other sections in the game for that matter.

What's the best place to make money? I wanna finish up getting the best gear before I beat the last boss, as well as maybe try to hit level 60. (I want 2 wedding rings bad)

man, this game was worth every penny I spent for it on XBLA, glad to see more people are going to enjoy it. I'm considering re-purchasing it for my PC at this point.

Bought this on my 360 when it was released, but my 360 was not hooked up to my TV at the time. Bought it again on Steam and finally got to play it, and hot damn what a great game. Everything feels good, good design choices, just enough backtracking to really appreciate the areas without feeling overwhelmed.

Great job Noogy! Would gladly play a sequel.
