Thanks everyone ;) Once again, sorry for the lack of responses, been busy focusing on sending out review keys and documenting issues. Rest assured I'm reading EVERYTHING and want to address every issue to the best of my ability.

Oh wow Microsoft is publishing this? Yeah, I hope Noogy is getting a proper cut.

Thankfully MS has been a great publisher to work with, and while I can't disclose the details I will say that I do have a good arrangement :)

Thanks everyone for keeping Dust:AET at #1 on the top seller chart! I honestly was going to be happy just charting in the top 10, I never expected this!

I don't mind buying it twice. Slowly but surely phasing out my 360.

As everyone should. I'm sure glad I didn't buy it there.

I wouldn't want to be "backwards" and wish for backwards compatibility in my new console.

Good thing my Steam list is always backwards compatible.

1200 hit combo. I'm sure people have done much better but I'm proud of myself. :)
I actually posted a video of this on the Steam Community, if anyone needed it for the achievement.

That's awesome, thanks Hoos.
Unfortunately, I accidentally recorded it at 540p in FRAPS, so the quality is not so great.
I think I'm due for a Dust replay. Glad to see people are enjoying it, such a magical game.

I think people will be surprised at how interesting the story and characters are. Won't spoil anything, but it's all sort of deceptively simple in the beginning.
The game's plot definitely belies the cutesy artwork. Like I alluded to before and without getting into specifics, I definitely saw some echos of Planescape: Torment, not sure if that was intentional or coincidental.

And, finally...those stupid exploding mushrooms...gahhh

Edit: I shouldn't have said anything. Spikes...GAHHH! This like the equivalent of the Castlevania clock tower area....

Just wanting to chime in and say congrats to Noogy for such a great job. This was one of the few titles I wanted to play on 360, so seeing it coming to Steam gave me nothing but joy while awaiting the port.

Amazing game so far, I'm adoring it!

joking aside, there is some powerup or something later that allows dust to go through the little tunnels right?

I've beaten too many games without knowing certain moves lol :/

Still not really getting parry, kinda wish there was a block button. I seem to be able to parry most things ok, but not against those giants.

And does it not work against projectiles?

I kinda beat the first boss, the fire guy, just by pot spamming... i feel like i could have done it better :/

So wait...Noggy did the whole game by himself, even including the art and animation? I am absolutely astounded. This is one of the very best looking 2D games made, which makes it all the more surprising.

Once you get the timing down for parrying giants, those things can be killed in one shot!

Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.
I've never seen TotalBiscuit loving a game as much as this one. Maybe 40K Space Marine's, but that was different. Certainly hypes me up.

This game has been on my radar for a while but yeah, no xbox. Really glad it's on Steam now. And one guy? What the hell! I was already impressed while not knowing that, absolutely incredible. That Noogy's one heck of a talented guy.

The only problem is, I wasn't planning on buying anything else this month, and i'm not sure if my laptop can handle it.

Then I see some Gifs, and my wallet starts crying.

What's the performance like? I'm stuck to my laptop for now which has a 5650m, 4gb of ram and an I7.

Should be okay. I'm running on a weaker laptop than you are and getting 60 fps@1080p with some effects turned down.

Fellas, those of you on the fence with laptops you think can't run it, I assure you, if you have something greater than a Core 2 made in the past 5 years it will run pretty damn well.

Still crashing at ESRB screen, anyone found a solution so far?

Strange, I don't crash there on my system but, the transition takes longer than it should between the ESRB screen and the Microsoft video that pops up next.

Do you have all the prerequisites installed on your system? (XNA 4.0, .NET 4.0, WMP)

Just bought it now on Steam. Had the demo for ages on the 360 and was waiting for a PC release, and boom. Had to get it, no excuse. Game looks amazing and awesome with SweetFX. What an amazing OST as well.

Alright, I got it! At least the ESRB crash seems to be solved. I checked my installed software and seemed to have "Tsunami filter pack" installed, probably lots of codecs for various stuff. In its setup, I uninstalled all video codecs and suddenly everything seems to work!
Still have the 100% CPU usage though, but at least that's managable via the task manager cpu affinity setup.

So yeah, the ESRB crash seems to be caused by installed video codecs.

Is the game mad at me for saying that I don't like the design? Because it went BSoD on me after quitting.

I didn't know Noogy posted here.

I bought the game on Steam a couple days ago because it looked beautiful. I was sad when it was a Xbox exclusive (I don't have a Xbox) so I'm glad it came to PC. I played about an hour and a half. It's pretty great so far.

Maybe it's because the game has animal-people and an "annoying" but lovable sidekick but it really reminded me of better times. Older cartoons and games.

It's amazing thinking how much of this was done by just one person.

I think this is the first game on Steam (which I've used for about 2 years) I paid more than $10 for.

If your computer is BSOD, its probably a temp issue with your CPU.

Either you don't have your thermal paste set right, or your CPU cooler isn't very good, or your OC is unstable.

The game right now is glitched and uses 100% CPU usage. Set it to 2 cores to slightly dodge this issue and keep your temps down.

Seems to be an initial problem, since it now works fine.

...I won't take back what I said about designs though!

Noogy, the game is fantastic. The graphics are amazing, the writing is spectacular, the animations are beautiful and the music fits all of that perfectly.

Also, I actually love Fidget so far, she started out pretty annoying but by now (just arrived in the underground cave village thing in Chapter 2) she's genuinely funny, I don't even fast forward dialogue in this game 'cause the voice talent really delivers most of the time.

I'm honestly amazed so far. This is just so much better than pretty much anything I've seen from all those heads-in-the-clouds indie devs so far with their 8 bit puzzle platformers. So much better.

Hey guys. I wanted to support this game by buying it an extra time on steam.

if you really want to play the game and can't or won't buy it, PM me with the names of the two bosses of brinstar in super metroid. first correct response gets it. I'll edit this post once it's claimed.

edit: claimed. grats charsace

This game is actually kind of great. Like a 16 bit era top down action RPG only with the perspective swapped. It reminds me of Crystalis and Soul Blazer.

I should have started on hard, though. The game is easy especially if I just spam and don't try to do cool, varied combos.

It's the character design that bothers me really. And some animation quirks.
