Would be interesting to see if they do. Aside from mapping the shooting, there's also the fact that a player can super jump to any other player on the map using the gamepad.

We were playing 2-player split screen Mario Kart 8 the other day on my 46" plasma...and we all remarked aloud that 4-player split would be too small. Then we laughed. Because somehow back in the day, we played 4-player split screen on 20" TVs.

But I couldn't help but maintain my assertion - 4-player split just looks too small for my tastes. I prefer games where all players work with one large screen.

(I know this opinion isn't popular - love local co-op, but hate split screen)

I agree it's really enjoyable. It's nice to see unscripted gameplay with devs just having fun.

They're doing a great job as well. No awkwardness, they're just talking about what they're doing, and that's perfect.

Hope they go all out on this Splatoon thing... that squid mechanic looks like great fun. Like that Mario Sunshine Easter egg where you could slide around the island on Mario's belly. But you can go up walls and over jumps and stuff.

The art style could use some work if they want the game to be a big hit. I think a lot of teens/adults will be too self -conscious to play this game with friends. Less pastel colors would be good.
