E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

Nintendo made the right call with this Treehouse thing. It's freaking awesome! Except for Project Guard taking forever :D

that scale

The sense of scale in this game is great, even more improved from the original Xenoblade. Those big monsters remind me of the huge creatures in FFXIII.

YOU CAN JUMP CLIFFS NOW!
Didnt that kill you in xenoblade?

No it depends on the hight. Small cliff was doable. But if you jumped down a big one you died. All damage based. So the higher the level the higher cliff you can survive. This one looked survivable in xenoblade terms. If you jump in water you get no damage.

I have no need at all for gaming websites this E3 thanks to Treehouse. It's almost like being at the show. Nintendo took the right approach.

Nintendo Treehouse has done such a great job with the stream when talking about these games. They are talking game mechanics and just having fun. It's the perfect approach to these instead of trying to appeal to a broader audience.

And no fake online convo's, sweet jesus Ubisoft.

This is the beginning area, just imagine what later areas in the game look like. The original Xenoblade had an impressive variety of beautiful environments.

*drool*

Yeah, I was expecting them to give kid-friendly performances here. I really like that they're starting to open up and become a more personable company.

and you autoheal outside of battle so jumping off cliffs wasnt really an issue unless you just die

Yeah I've come to terms withe Directs for E3 conferences. This is the way E3 should have always been.
