E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

I'm still interested in NMS, but I don't think anyone could defend them having their next trailer be the exact same format. That's just boring.

Exactly my point. I'm still down to buy it day-one, but I make up a small population of gamers who will hold attention for years (still got hope, TLG!).

A lot of average gamers are interested in NMS, and they need some real info and new stuff to show.

No idea if this is a joke or a fake.

Interesting... The reaction is a little weird and the answers seem a little too formal, but who knows!

Killzone Shadowfall.

Was that at the console reveal event?

So the list's not long, even if you include Modnation Racers and LBP3. I'd say chances aren't likely they'll break out gameplay, it'll be a 2-3 minute trailer I expect. If it even shows at all.

Only 1 week left!!! I am getting more and more excited. Hopefully there won´t be any leaks or announcements before E3 starts. We are so close, I think we can all wait a week and have more worthwhile E3 with some surprises (I hope).

Anyway, of the games we know/expect to be at E3, which game(s) are you looking forward to the most that will most likely be demoed at the pressconference?

My pics are Fallout 4 and Battlefront.

New post, since I wrote more than I thought.

Here we go:

This is my wishlist from a while back. I've deleted games off it that I've talked about being in development in the past, and titles that people already know are in development (MM's new IP, GG's new IP, Gran Turismo etc.).

Here's the truth about this wishlist, when I posted it, about half of these games were probably going to show up at E3. Hence why I said in the post that I'll like E3 if even half of them show up. Now here's the thing, forget that. The when doesn't matter now. And that post is now meaningless with that kind of statement since I know what's happening generally, and the number doesn't fit due to some changes.

Instead, here's what I can tell you. All of the list is true, except for two games, which I can't vouch for. One of those games is actually coming to Nintendo, but that's second hand information, and I don't really know about it. The other hasn't even entered pre-production, and SCE is in talks about possibly getting something done with it. We'll have to see about that. But even without those two (and I won't say which two those are since if I do, I confirm something I don't want to), there's still a lot here.

I'll start you off. JRPG1 and JRPG2, which I've talked about several times, don't need any elaboration. You'll know both soon enough. JRPG3 is in pre-production at the moment, and is something that should appeal to fans. This will be announced in 2016, at the earliest, I would assume. They've only just started picking things up this year. JRPG4 is much further away. This will be a more significant title, but you're not hearing about this anytime soon. This is towards the end of the generation. JRPG5 is similar to a title that you already know about. Also, a late generation title.

That's your Sony exclusive JRPGs which SCEJ/A is going to be involved in some shape or form over the next five years. Nice, isn't it? I don't think you have to worry about any of them being cancelled. But don't expect to hear of the latter three anytime soon, but I'm sure it'll look more believable once JRPG1/JRPG2 are announced since those are up first, and hey, we're not that far now.

To ruin some SE stuff.

FF7 spin-off. Real. Not AAA, but it'll be good. No one is going to complain. Current gen. Square Enix crossover is PS4 exclusive. I don't mean Musou. New Parasite Eve is pretty straightforward. A new PE game.

Monster Hunter PS4, I think I was caught by Chobel in January when I posted it, and edited it. But it's been leaked from the looks of it anyway. That's your upcoming MH PS4 game. However, it's not the only one. SCEJ/A has been discussing with Capcom about bringing more Monster Hunter to PS4 for a while, and for the most part, the only thing I can say is things are looking pretty good on that front. Please be excited. Although, check your expectations a little if you're expecting some massive effort. We're just fitting in what exists, rather than trying to create something new.

The new Naval RPG is a western game. Big publisher, big budget. And I think that's about enough.

All sounds like bullshit, doesn't it? That's good. If it sounds too believable, it'd be no fun.

New Shadow Hearts game?

Isn't every single company involved with all 3 games dead now? I don't see how a new Shadow Hearts would be possible.

I mean, if it actually happens I'd cry tears of joy, but there's no chance of it happening.

I'd love to see EAD Tokyo have a new Mario game for Wii U, and it's just 3D World 2.

...Because that'd be a good game, of course.
OK, you got me, I want that salt

yeah it'd be fun exploring generic grass/desert/water/forest/mountain/sky/lava world again (in roughly that order) for the 8th time in 10 years.
I for one would be very salty if that happened.

I think they have been pretty smart with the trailers so far

First trailer showcased the beautiful worlds, the scanning of various things like resources / animals, etc. Then showed the event like that dinosaur charging in and the animals reacting to it. Then showed the seamless flight into space and how that fight can go from space to planet seamlessly as well

The next trailer showcased a bit of the same but shows the diversity of the planets.

Then they showcased the various methods of traveling to planets like those mysterious portals that can drop you anywhere without a ship

Then they showcased a much more alien and exotic looking world and showed those Mechs for the first time along with the galaxy map and how you can warp around.

Next thing to show is the combat and trading and resource collecting and such like that. No doubt the E3 demo will be massive, or likely will be.

I'm dying to know just where in the HELL The Witness is.
I'm really excited for when this finally releases. The game was playable at PSX and I spent a good hour with the game and was in love with it. I think it's going to be a real treat to get through in it's entirety.

Since the sales of Mario platformers were collapsing on WiiU (and these games probably playing a big part in giving the console an awful reputation), I can only hope Nintendo has learned their lesson and given up on the idea of rehashing New Mario Bros into eternity, plus the next mainline Mario hopefully not coming out until NX.
Admittedly though, at this point I wouldn't yet put Luigi 3D World or something dumb like that past them.

Give me a fucking break. Lol "Tongue in cheek!" Okay.

Anyways! E3 is a week away. Holy shit, the hype is getting to crazy. Really think Microsoft's will be the best, because they need it, but I also see Sony blowing it out of the water this year. All I (DONT ACTUALLY) know is that it will be an E3 for the ages.

One of my favourite parts of E3 is when the banners and booths get set up, then we get a drip feed of that through images on here.

I don't think it's real.

@HelloGames doesn't follow this guy. @HelloGames never even replied to them.

He tweeted this the next day, witch seems to be a bit inconsistent.

Yeah, guess it's just some crazy fan. What a bizarre thing to do.

Combat and more resource stuff definitely needs to be shown. I can't wait to see what they will show at E3.

This is why I think a remaster of the Galaxy or Sunshine games would be a decent release. I know they said something about not releasing the next big Mario game until the next generation, so I think a remaster could suit gamers' 3D Mario needs for the next couple years.

I'm dying to know just where in the HELL The Witness is.

Really excited about this one as well. I'm happy they haven't shown much of the game outside the tutorial section because I'm so excited to really dig into the game with fresh eyes. Since we haven't heard about it in forever, and the last time we did hear about it they seemed quite far in development, I'm betting on a 2015 release. Late summer - mid fall if I had to guess.

Level 5 should do a PS2 Remaster Anthology, but that ain't happening :(

Their IPs are usually good, so I am excited about it.
