Yes this confused me as well... :/ I would also expect 12 pm to be midnight. It's ilogical. The counting should start from 0 not 12 .

This has always confused many, even in the US [where I am]. It makes sense both ways, depending on how you parse it mentally.

The issue arises because AM/PM mean [full words in Latin], 'before noon' and 'after noon' respectively. And well, 'noon' is neither before noon nor after noon... it is noon.

When you hit noon during your day, we think of it as the beginning of 'after noon', so from that perspective PM [after noon] actually makes more sense. That is, once you hit noon it's certainly no longer 'before noon'... but it is, within a second, the start of your afternoon. So 12pm is noon, since it makes slightly more sense than AM if you understand what the abbreviations mean and don't just think of them as 'morning'/'night'.

And so we end up with 12am being midnight, and 12pm being noon.

It's usually smart, even in the US, to tell someone 12:01 AM / 12:01 PM if it's important.

Probably 0 right now. I think a lot is riding on the success of THPS5. Not just for the future of that series but for games in the extreme sports genre in general. If it ends up doing well then it could show EA that there's still a market for those games.

If both Rock Band and Guitar Hero can come back and Tony Hawk can come back then logically the next game to be announced would be Skate.

Honestly if EA wants to bring it back they really shouldn't wait. New Tony Hawk will almost assuredly suck thanks to who is making it but it will at least get interest back into the genre.

Seriously I don't get how midnight = 12AM can make sense. midnight is either the very beginning of the morning ( 0th hour, so 0:AM) or the end of the "after-noon" (12th hour so 12 PM).
12 AM should be "12 in the morning", so noon, just like 11 AM is "11 in the morning"
