E3 2015 Predictions & Discussion thread

Namco Bandai could publish Ni No Kuni 2... but I have a feeling it'll be something like a Tales game or a Soul Calibur title.

So what one game getting announced and/or shown would make this one of the best E3s in a while for each of you?

not trying to buy into the hype, esp with the last guardian, however i still bolieve it is going to show up one day

Tales of Zestiria PS4?

No way Bamco spends 30 minutes talking about a Tales project on an E3-stage/stream.

Even in Japan, talking about their next game itself is rarely a lengthy thing, it's long because there's so much other filler surrounding the announcement (VAs on-stage acting out)

Also a week before there is the tales of Festival...So anything big regarding the Tales of Games will be mentioned there

I'd love to see the new God of War game. What Santa Monica achieved visually with God of War 3 and Ascension is still amazing, especially 3 considering how earlier it came out in the PS3's history. I can only dream what they are able to create and do on the PS4.

So, the "Enslaved" strategy all over again? /s

Let's just hope it's done better this time round.

It may not be related to that comment, but that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the presentation mentioned. I'm not sure that they'd do a 30 minute presentation for Soulcalibur. As some are discussing in the GotY thread, fighting games don't really seem to be something that journalists get really hyped over. So i'm not sure what else they could be talking about if it's a Japanese game, unless it's just a completely new IP. On the western side I guess they may have teamed up with some prominent western developer. Maybe Respawn? They've been hiring for a third person shooter, which means that the hirings aren't for Titanfall 2.

Wouldn't Respawn just continue working with EA?

Did they sign a deal with EA for all of their games? I thought it was just for Titanfall.

The deal with EA say "exclusive worldwide publishing and distribution rights to future games.", So probably not just Titanfall.

But even if their new 3rd party games isn't included in the deal, why would they choose another publisher? I think they have good relationship with EA.

If Fallout 4 is revealed at E3 with a Fall 2015 release date, it will be the best E3 of all time by a LONG shot for me.

So potentially, this could be the best E3 ever before Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony even step on stage on Monday. Would make Monday announcements all gravy. New Mass Effect demoed? Awesome Ubisoft surprise game? Megaton from Sony? Certainly potential to be huge. Sadly, I'm prepared for none of the above to happen. 2016 release date for Fallout 4 is entirely possible...likely even, but will make me very sad!

Shinobi, how about coming on here and telling us about how a Fall 2015 release date for Fallout 4 is quite possible. I wanna dream!!

Ridley in Smash or Super Mario Sunshine 2.

I don't have too high of hopes for this E3 because most franchises I've wanted to get sequels have already had sequels announced by this point that either just finished or are currently in development and my favorite developers are too busy to possibly announce something I'd be super excited about.

Wait, somebody teased TLG and didn't get banned ?

A similar thing happened for PSX( tease + vet) with TheWorthyEdge and what was teased wasn't even showed.

I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Realistic Expectations:

Gran Turismo 7 -- Although, I think this might be either a TGS or PlayStation Experience announcement, but I would like to see it show up at E3.

Uncharted Trilogy Remastered -- I really want to replay these games at 1080/60fps.

Sort of unrealistic expectations:

The Last Guardian -- I truly believe that this has to be the year, this has to be the year we see it again. Of course, I (like many others) say this every year and I'm horribly disappointed when it doesn't show up. So maybe I should say the opposite, maybe I should say it won't be there instead and then maybe it will show up. But anyways, that's the big one.

Half Life 3 -- Would love it to happen, would absolutely love it to happen. Probably won't though.

Agent -- Makes a re-return...I somehow think this is still happening. This could be the year it returns, if not then its probably long dead (probably is)

Completely unrealistic expectations:

Shenmue III -- I would love Shenmue III to become a reality (I need closure damn it) but lets face it, its not happening. It's really not happening.

If they have a contract with EA then obviously they're out. I was just thinking of who would be a big enough game for them to collaborate with. I guess it could be the Level 5 PS4 game. NAMCO seemed to be really happy with how Ni no Kuni performed. So they may be up for funding a new game for them.

As far as remastered go, I would love for BioWare to do a remaster trilogy for both Mass Effect and Dragon Age for both XBox One and PS4. That, the Arkham trilogy (including Origins), and the Gears trilogy (plus Judgment) are the only remasters I want really badly.

Inversion left off for a sequel, you take that sarcasm back. It was the Gears clone we deserved, but not the one we needed at the time.

The world is ready for Inversion 2.

I'd actually be down for a sequel. It'd just be funny if everyone gets hyped for SC or Tales and it end up being Inversion.

I just honestly want to see a good open world JRPG that will rival anything Square could do. I'm excited for FFXV but really want to see something else new as well.

I'm new to the Persona games but so far seems very promising and there's the talk of the Horizon from GG and Level-5's unannounced game. Even Star Ocean might be showing up. So far it's looking good. If Sony announced one of their own it would be awesome.

Less than a month until we get to see Fallout 4. YASSSSSS.

I will be crushed if it isn't there.

My biggest concern with a FO4 release would be moving from Gamebryo to an engine that is less mod-friendly. Skyrim sold bucket loads more on consoles, but Bethesda has always taken care of its PC users to a certain degree. I really hope we get a FO4 announcement.
