What would it take for you to consider this E3 a success, everyone?
For me:
- Banjo Threeie is real and looks amazing
- Horizon is shown and contains laser dinosaurs
- Nintendo have a new big-hitter shown (Metroid Prime 4 probably, but not necessarily)
I have low expectations, so this E3 has already succeeded for me. I got the uncharted collection, gears of war remastered, ratchet and clank footage, hyrule warriors 3DS, and we'll get a stage demo of U4 at sonys thing, mirrors edge, a new chibi robo. Happy with that, anything else is a bonus.
Either EA is running a tight ship or they want to focus on 1 scifi game at a time (Battlefront) and we ended up only getting the official new title for ME.

Hmm. I've already got games that I really wanted to see so from announced games/heavily hinted ones:
- Deus Ex. I've been waiting for this.
- Hitman. I can't wait for the reveal.
- Star Fox. I want to see what on earth they have done with a high budget treatment of this game.
- Mirror's Edge Catalyst.
As for surprises:
- New IP/surprise projects across all conferences and publishers. Something I could not anticipate.
- A Retro/Next Level tease. These studios have talent.
- A tease at a Metroid. looking more unlikely now, last chance for 3DS this year.
- TLG I'm a believer . If not this year (including TGS), never.
My expectations are in check and therefore I don't have wild predictions. Of course, it's all about other games making me happy too to round of announcements and the uncertainty factor in new IP that you cannot predict. I don't think 1-3 games could make me satisifed with E3. It has to be the whole thing.

if there is no Banjo announcement but something entirely new instead. We're all assuming Banjo is making a comeback.
My personal wants/predictions
- Gouken gets announced for SFV
- Horizon is amazeballs, brings a new approach to the RPG genre.
- MS have many surprise announcements.
- Phantom Dust gets a top tier studio
- Deus Ex is dope
- MEGATON NX gets announced, it's more powerful than both current consoles and a handheld.

Well, yeah new announcements make for a great conference, but the conference != E3 for me. E3 for me is about all that awesome gameplay footage from games I'm longing to play myself. Uncharted 4 being very high among that list for me. So seeing more footage from that game is going to be amazing as hell. Can't wait to see what ND has been doing over the past 6 months. Something tells me the footage, or demo, they put together is going to be memorable.
New announcements are cool, but there are SO MANY games that we know about but have seen little of that there could be 0 new announcements but as long as those games like Rime, The Witness, The Tomorrow Children, Uncharted 4, Persona 5, etc. are well represented, it would be an awesome E3.
But of course, there will be plenty of new announcements no doubt.

Personally, I think that would be the most disappointing E3 conference I've ever watched. Metal Gear Solid V is my most anticipated game this year, but I would absolutely prefer to see a new game announced instead of seeing a new trailer or gameplay for it.
Eh, I'm in the same boat. A couple of trailers for new games is fantastic and all but I'd much rather prefer some great gameplay and trailers for games releasing in 2015 and early 2016. A few things for late 2016 and 2017 are fine but too much, simply because they are new announcements, does nothing for me.
Case in point, MS 2014 with there 3 CG trailers near the end. New announcements sure, but I didn't care much for it.

Microsoft announces several new IPs
If 4/6 of these happen then I will be satisfied. I expected QB to be at Gamescom, but no Scalebound and Crackdown is a downer though.
1. Minecraft is announced for Wii U and new 3DS. Out 2015.
2. Along with coming to iOS and Android, Nintendo and DeNA will announce there mobile games will be Win 10 universal apps - running on PC, tablet, and mobile (not Xbox).
3. Thatgamecompany's new game is announced at the MS press conference. It's coming to Xbox and PC - Win10. (Not announced, but it will also come to Sony platforms). 2016.
4. The Next Mass Effect is announced. While the game will let players choose gender of the main character, the female version will be featured in marketing materials (trailer /box art). H1 2016. Microsoft has marketing rights.
5. Rare's new game is a new IP.
6. New God of War is shown/teased. It drops the "4" and does not feature Kratos.
