What are your guys favorite guests on Earwolf podcasts besides PFT and Andy Daly?

.

In terms of regulars: I love me some Paul Rust, Harris Whittles, and Neil Campbell. Less frequent vistors that are my favorite: Tim Heidecker. He never plays anyone other than himself, but he as a character of himself is always hilarious. His first appearance in which he's acting like a complete asshole is one of my favorite episodes

Harris Wittles 4 Life. I love that dude so much. Also really liking Jon Gabrus's Gino character.

Yesterday on the Giant Bombcast, Jeff mentioned that they recently signed a deal with Midroll (not eluding at all to it being Auckerman/Ulrich's company - only reason I knew the name was because I heard that Wolf's Den episode a couple weeks back). You guys don't think that was the million dollar deal they were talking about, do you?

Oh yeah, Tim Heidecker is great. Love his faux-annoyance and indignation.

I was really bummed about how low-energy Tenacious D was. I thought they'd make for great guests, but Paul loves chemicals so much he might as well be Walter White

I really like Tim Heidecker on the podcast, but this reminds me of how surprised I was when I read the comments on a taped CBB Tim was on. I'm kind of surprised how much some of his fans miss the point of the comedy on CBB, while being fans of Tim Heidecker. The comments on this video are just strange: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpBLYhbljFI

People not understanding that all parties are essentially doing a character.

It's because people fetishize T&E. Like, they have a whole separate culture built around them, I feel, that lashes out at any other comedy or at anyone that thinks everything Heidecker and Wareheim do isn't genius. It kept me from getting into Awesome Show! and stuff for a long while because most T&E fans are annoying dipshits. Which is sad because they're two incredibly funny people.

That podcast you linked might be my all time favorite episode of CBB. Tim Heidecker is so good.

First rule of podcasting,

Don't let T.J. Miller use your studio.

and I'm slowly working through my backlog and that was possibly the worst Michael Caine impression ever on The Marky mark show.

I dont know how much of this is set up but Ill just say that it was cool hearing Scott tell Harris last Thursday that he will talk to Jack Black and Kyle Gass about Dont Stop or We'll Die going to Festival Supreme and then hearing him actually do that on this past Mondays episode.

Isn't that the way sometimes? You look forward to a guest you love and they don't deliver? Speaking of love, Paul loves chemicals so much he might as well be Walter White over here.

Tim Heidecker's one of my least favourite guests on the show. I know that his annoyance and unwillingness to play along is a bit, but I don't find it funny personally and it makes it a slog to listen to his episodes waiting for something good to happen. I know people like him, but it's just not for me.

Sorry for the double post but this is too important.

I was lurking the Apple iPhone thread and someone posted that U2's new album may come pre-loaded on the iPhone 6 that is expected to be announced September 9th.

^ I don't have any idea who this guy is but i'm going to put all my faith into what he says.

New UTU2TM content may be on the horizon!

You are not allowed to get my hopes like that :(.

Great ep, especially the part where Paul loves chemicals so much he might as well be Walter White over here.

I loved that part too. I think it was a great example of how the mostly-open structure of Comedy Bang Bang allows comedy to emerge. Of course, if there were no structure at all that would be bad. the key is to have the structure supply enough of a familiar foundation for insanity to be built up, which has the best chance of happening when the guests are a group of people with lively comedic chemistry. Speaking of chemistry, I know of this improvisor Paul Rust-- he loves chemicals so much he might as well be Walter White.

Yeah, sometimes when the guests don't gel it's not a great episode, like if they don't really join in much, or sometimes if they're so overbearing that it sort of throws the episode off balance. That's why whenever I see someone that I've enjoyed in the past I get excited, I trust that guest to bring something funny and fresh to the podcast. I'm talking about people like PFT, Andy Daly, Jessica St Clair, and Paul Rust. Speaking of Paul Rust, he loves chemicals so much that he may as well be Walter White.

The New York Times is claiming that U2 is performing at the Apple event. The New York Times! It's happening, you guys! I want to believe!

I really enjoyed this week's CBB! I was really confused when I looked at my iPhone and it said the only guest was "Tony Macaroni".

Can someone in the press ask them if Scott and Scott can get a T-shirt?

CBB was a super great one I thought. Claudia fantastic again, Jimmy great as always. R. Schrift was stellar. Manchine; Dentist...the Mentalist; Larry Petunia: Onion Union; Lace. Ventura. The. Rubbish. Burglar. Detector.

Yeah it was a really good CBB this week. I could barely contain my laughter on the train. Nick Kroll was absolutely fantastic both as himself and as his character. This may have been my favorite CBB of the year, and it's definitely my favorite character that Kroll has done on the show.

I probably won't listen to the album until the inevitable UTU2TM episode comes out. I really don't care about U2 outside of the podcast.

Eleven songs == Eleven episodes. Hey Scotty, doooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Commiserations to anyone that had their library besmirched by the addition of a U2 album.

Haha you made my day with that gif. I only listen to the audio feed so I had not seen that moment in all its glory.

I haven't listened yet, but do they go through the whole album or will we get another episode on this album in the future?

According to Bono this is part one of a double album, so that pretty much guarantees more content anyway, thanks for the info though!

And the live album episodes of Analyze Phish were my favorite ones, so that is very exciting news!
