- New hair , six new (unnamed) weapon categories & new AI goals

- New legacy dungeon related map files , new Colosseum map files suggesting gauntlet type addition , map changes made at most divine towers

- in the section where boss flags are declared they left out room for 30 flags for DLC purposes but that does not mean 30 bosses will be added but they just made room for those ( in the base game excluding the repeats there are dot 68 bosses in terms of unique animations & model used so DLC will probably have 10-15 )

- 16 NPC entries in the files called "Someone Yet Unseen"

A lot of the fun with from games is playing them at the same time as everyone else. Seems like a strange way to just save 20 bucks but each to our own.

I've played all of the games on a delay except the original demon souls and bloodborne. Between community restart days and the rush of new people from an expansion waiting a year isn't really a drawback. There's always somebody invading.

Sounds shit to me lol. Again enjoy the 20 bucks.

A photo mode would be nice, but I realize that also counts as "pause."
There is already a way to pause the game.

If you go into menu, inventory and then put the explanation/help window, it pauses the game. Like when the Tutorial window pop.

On topic, sounds nice. Curious to see what it will be about.

That is the reason why I wait a year or more for the release of From software games.

There will always be a GOTY.
But it's true for like literally every game except most Nintendo games. So you just never buy games new and you always wait a year? Interesting

They're not story focused so maybe spoilers aren't so problematic, but going in blind on Elden Ring on some of those bosses was wild. I'd say there is nothing lost from having played it day 1 even though it's been patched many times since then. I've never stopped playing it. Nearly 350 hours played so far, third play through new game+. It has constantly been climbing my all-time top list during the whole year, now it's just below Super Metroid, #2. I expect Ragnarök and Starfield to wrestle up there eventually as well, probably just below.

Am hoping for a decent and lengthy addition to the main campaign for this, like previous games. Not too interested in the pvp arena thing. There's a huge amount of lore and background they could mine for the DLC. Given how long the main game is, I'd imagine the DLC would go for a decent 20+ hours.

I really hope the datamined covenant system and arena content will be added to the DLC, it was the only thing I felt lacking about the otherwise brilliant ER.

Can't remember where I heard this (Zullie the Witch, maybe?), but apparently at one stage of development you were supposed to fight Crucible Knights in front of the divine towers

Cool news but honestly, after putting 170 hours on a single playthrough I don't know if I want to return to the Lands Between at least in a few years from now.

Usually what I do in experience is when they are Cult games I buy them Pre-order, because I know they are limited and will be difficult to get.

When they are commercial games, like God of war or similar, I wait 2 years until they cost 20 dollars or a little more.

With the exception of Nintendo, only if they are games that are to my liking, I buy at launch price, or i buy it used...

In the case of From Software games, the editions always come out with all the DLC or expansions, that's why I wait... then the public also arrives and connects online.

In fact it is my earring, although I plan to acquire the PS5 and along with Demon souls, Horizon... Elden Ring will be part of the launch.

I already heard of most of that info already in the same day the new patch arrived. Really interested on the weapons and dungeons.
