ELDEN RING: Shadow Of The Erdtree |OT| ⋆☽ Delve Into The Land Of Shadowy Embrace ✰ The Age Of Stars Is Almost Upon Us! ☾⋆

Yall weren't kidding about the final boss being some total bullshit......especially phase 2, but it's done!

Interesting to me that....

They troll you with that big staircase only to not let you get up there. Also, what was up with that totally non existent ending? You got that shitty little memory scene and that's it lol, not even the credits. It's like the devs were at the point and didn't know how to do an ending and just said fuck it, give them a little scene and then nothing.
It is a bit lacklustre.

I recently read that a bunch of things were cut, and I wonder if something around the end was among the cut content.

Where are you getting the deets on what was cut? I love to live vicariously through youtubers diving into this shit. I really hope FROM revisits the ER universe in a few years time. It's too good for there NOT to be an ER2.

That was super trash IMO. Unecessary final boss, while the rest of the bosses in the DLC looks new and fresh. And not even a good ending.
I got really dissapointed that make me back for Bloodborne DLC and kick Orphan of Kos boss battle with at least have a better ending cutscene, more profund than this piece of shit.

From both lore and gameplay this is by far the worst boss of the Elden Ring 100%.

BTW, is fucking funny that most of the people are using the same fucking shield to beat this boss, either this huge stone tablet or that new great shield.

I haven't found too much yet, but this video covers a couple bits:

The king is back.

Grab some popcorn - lots of very good points and fair criticism with almost equal amounts of praise. Probably one of his better videos.

Finally finished the dlc, found Radahn's second phase to be crazy difficult. I was really struggling to dodge his cross slash especially in his second phase but managed to beat him today, great dlc, loved every minute of it, Here's me fighting Radahn

Finally got into the DLC. Since I don't use my Xbox anymore I wanted to replay the game from PS5. I started my replay already before the DLC dropped, but then ended up doing everything required to Platinum since I kept hearing the DLC is super hard.

Now with Malenia done (took less than half an hour this time around), I finally dove in to the DLC.

I must say that the first boss I came across, the Knight of the Solitary Gaol, might be my favourite boss of all souls bosses.

I did him without knowing about the levelling mechanic. It really is the perfect souls battle. You need to learn the tells and openings to punish. You need to be methodical, roll, shield, heal only at a safe time. Greediness and sloppiness is punished. The pace is relentless, so you need to keep at it. But there is nothing unfair in it, and the camera is not your enemy this time.

There's a couple of DLC bosses that made me feel that exact way. I recently learned the Messmer fight and got him hitless... TWICE! One without HUD, both at 0 Scadu levels.

These games are awesome, keep playing and I really hope you get to my favorite Boss in the entire DLC. He's so HOT👀

Recently beat the expansion for a second time - this time with my OG strength-int build from 2022. I still think the final boss is disappointing from a lore perspective, but I've found it much more enjoyable to fight now that I've learned the movesets and they've tuned it to not be as aggressive. Deflect hard tear is still super over-powered for the first half lol. I think I might actually prefer the expansion to the base game, with only the reward-economy and emptiness of some spaces being my biggest gripes.

Can we all agree that the Midra OST is the best of the entire game? The fight itself is just the cherry on top. The lore is equally amazing as well.
I mean, he IS him!

But yeah, both the OST and fight are top tier in my books. He doesn't feel unfair at all (unlike you know who) and learning how to dodge some of his attacks is another level of satisfaction. I bought the game + DLC on Pc earlier this year and basically got to every possible "main" Boss entrance with 0 Scadu. Beat Midra skipping his phase 2 attack with a cold Great Katana + Cragblade and the Deflecting Hardtear with some attack boosting talismans.
