When has From Software released a DLC that was a rip-off? IMO, never, and I highly doubt they're going to start now.Well, it's 40€ on Steam. I hope this a full-blown expansion and not a rip-off.

Unless I see something interesting the trailer omitted in a playthrough that is my takeaway. I have already played Elden Ring to death. I hope others enjoy it though.
The DLC is getting physical copy? or is it bundle with base game?Already bought the deluxe edition. FROMSoftware are literally the only dev in the industry that will get my money before the damn thing's even out.
FromSoft has also developed its approach to field design. Previously the divide between field and dungeon areas was quite distinct. "This time, we wanted to go more in depth and bring a denser and richer level design, which brings these types of layout together a little more seamlessly," said Miyazaki. "There of course will be large open areas, there of course will be legacy dungeons, but we've also experimented with something a little more in-between these as well to bring a more diverse gameplay experience."
Further, there will be over 10 new boss fights, plus plenty of new weapons, equipment and skills to find. And eight new weapon categories have been added to account for new weapon types.
Miyazaki specifically mentioned the infamous Malenia boss fight - an extremely tough, yet optional battle. "So players who look for that sort of challenge in our games will find a challenge on equal footing in the DLC as well," he said.
A new element of progression unique to this DLC area has also been implemented, which further heightens player freedom to walk away, level up, and come back later.
Damn. That's sad
FromSoft has an outstanding historic when it comes to DLC for Soulsborne game.
If you liked Elden Ring, there is high chances that you'll love the DLC.
FROM DLC has historically offered great value for the price.
The DLC is some of their previous games isn't just fairly big but actually adds some of the coolest locations and bosses in their respective games.
I don't see why this would be any different
Ah, I found the Kadokawa shareholders. Be at ease, I have already pre-ordered it.When has From Software released a DLC that was a rip-off? IMO, never, and I highly doubt they're going to start now.
Nah that was DS3, that game was piss easy until near the endBruh, this was the easiest (most accessible) Souls game out of the bunch.
Agreed!Thank God we have studios like Larian and FromSoft carrying the torch of 90s/early 2000s gaming
"Over 10" new boss fights? I'm guessing that's referring to achievement-level bosses, of which there are 30 in the base game. Would align with multiple legacy dungeons + field content + in-between content. The GOAT speaks
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is FromSoftware's "largest expansion" ever
Elden Ring DLC expansion Shadow of the Erdtree finally has a release date: 21st June.www.eurogamer.net
Legacy dungeons... plural
The DLC is getting physical copy? or is it bundle with base game?
#blessed
Helldivers 2 out, Rebirth next week and this in June. Maybe this year is not so bad for games after all.
It takes place in a brand new area of a brand new map, which includes a similar structure to the original game: field areas, legacy dungeons, and other dungeons of varying scale. "In terms of pure surface area, you could think of something larger even than Limgrave in the base game," said Miyazaki.
I know that you were trying your best to throw a jab here, but I wish I were a Kadakowa shareholder because I'd be rolling in the yen.Ah, I found the Kadokawa shareholders. Be at ease, I have already pre-ordered it.
Btw, I found Scholar of the First Sin to be disappointing. But maybe that's just me.
The game itself was about right difficulty. I loved the exploration. The original game was so easy, every half arsed individual could finish it (well, people cried rivers bc ds games were too hard for them). I had to cease playing it because bosses were like street food vendors. Let's hope the average retry count will be 200+ this time.
Nah, I don't jab. I just shitpost or I don't. That being said, the yen is quite weak right now. So maybe it might be the best time to buy some shares.I know that you were trying your best to throw a jab here, but I wish I were a Kadakowa shareholder because I'd be rolling in the yen.
Ashes of Ariendel was a 2h turd, but it's more of an exception. When has From Software released a DLC that was a rip-off? IMO, never, and I highly doubt they're going to start now.
Scholar of the First Sin is not really a DLC. It's more a new version of Dark Souls 2Btw, I found Scholar of the First Sin to be disappointing. But maybe that's just me.
Limgrave was, what, 30-40 hours of content, so bigger than Limgrave and wiith multiple legacy dungeons, should be substantial.Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is FromSoftware's "largest expansion" ever

And you know there is going to be at least 1 underworld like Siofra River and possibly a Crumbling Farum Azula-like place as well.Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is FromSoftware's "largest expansion" ever

No further words. This really is the only day 1 purchase for me I have planned. Nothing else announced even comes close to the level of hype I have for this.
God damnit.
When this shot appeared I had to pause and say "WOW".
I think I am going to sit this one out. Don't feel like fighting fire giant with a bigger health bar and more phases. No new weapons or spells are even remotely functionally different from what I have already experienced in the base game and with mods. Also, the DLC seems to add no additional backstory and seems different in tone.
I get the sentiment...Elden ring was a big game and I got my fill, need to see something fresh to put another 40 euros on the table
Who are these people?Well, it's 40€ on Steam. I hope this a full-blown expansion and not a rip-off.
Messmer is not Miquella. Miquella is a God child that never ages and has no combat ability. So obvious it was that brother who was mentioned a ton in lore but we never got to see is the main character of the dlc.
