It has a lower score than the base game on both on OpenCritic and Metacritic, so, I'm assuming it's nothing ground-breaking. Eurogamer is one of the few non-biased, trusted media outlets, so them giving it a 3/5 is rather concerning.
Ya I wouldn't play i if I was you...you might enjoy it too much and realize that other peoples opinions of games actually doesn't mean fuck all.

Thanks, this post gave me brain cancer and now I can't play the game.

I wish they would just add an easy mode so I can finally try this damn game.

Or a demo at least! Don’t want to spend $70 and not be able to get past the first 5 min.

Interesting for sure because this varies depending on what you read. Some outlets are saying 25 hours and then this one is 65 hours and half the size of Elden Ring base game lol.
In Elden Ring there is lot of shortcuts that let you skip good chunk of the game. For example the place you do Fia’s quests and Godwyn corpse, there is teleporter that let transport you straight to Leyndell capital.

The game length based on how each players willing to explore.

I guess this is why I wait around for games now. This was my last purchase when it released. I haven’t bought any new releases since then as I have been inundated to point with every game having a store that it has completely turn me off to gaming. I stopped looking on steam, Nintendo, and PS store because it got tiring finding games I enjoy that doesn’t want my retirement savings just to play to their game to the fullest.

However, sometimes prayers are answered and here we go with my next purchase.

You bought Suicide Squad and spent real money on digital goods with no value and paid a tenner for that Joker thing, didn’t you?

It’s ok, brother. Whether it’s awesome or just good, I won’t see a store for over 40 hours. I’ll take that win, any day.

Why the avatar-less people always the dumbest?

Started over with a fresh character for this. If you know what you're doing its very easy to get yourself all set up in a few hours. Really helps that getting to Mohg's palace basically directs you to the cheapest farming spot in the game!

This was my first souls game (and I suck massive balls) but I loved every second about it, it's a must-play (imo) and you can make it as easy as you want (I went magic + melee build) you can use a spirit ash that will distract the boss for you, when you need to heal, get more mana or need buffs etc, I really recommend you give it a try man :D

WOw at the reviews. I'm currently on a media blackout and want to know this thing:

-I'm now at NG++ at lvl 230. How will the scaling work? I beat Mohg and Radhan with ease on NG++ so I can start the DLC when it drops. I'm way overpowered currently and I love it.

The DLC will erase my OP'ness??

Boy, I sure love when reviewers talk more about themselves than the actual product they're reviewing.

This is a fucking sad new low for the state of journalism. She just couldn't write a review with the sole focus on being the game, yah know... her job. She had to interject her personal drama into a fucking game review. Major publication, not some blog.... and she uses it as a platform to vent her personal drama. And this passed the editorial standards of her publication.

This is why games media is dying and should die.

If you've held off on playing this game because of difficulty I'm telling you just bite the bullet and give it a go. I got my shit pushed in playing Bloodborne and Darks Souls 3 multiple times and gave up, wondering how the hell people had fun playing those games. Then I saw the trailers for Elden Ring and knew I had to play it, so I gave Dark Souls 3 a real chance and it finally clicked. I would still definitely not call myself good at Souls games, but I went from not getting it and thinking they are just needlessly frustrating to them being among my favorite games, with Elden Ring being #1. Seriously, just give this game a chance because it is fucking incredible. Can't wait for Friday.

In a way... DLC has its own power scaling separate to the base game and has items that improve your attack and defence scaling separate from The Lands Between, both for you and your spirit ashes.

Sorcery is easy mode, sincerely. You can play ranged and stay pretty safe. Way easier doing sorcery on my second run vs my melee first run.

Also, with this game, you can trade difficulty down for time spent, e.g., grinding areas where there are easy enemies who drop lots of XP, if time is not a limiting factor for you.

I honestly can't wait for AI to replace them. AI may be far from perfect, but at least it will priorizate talking about the gaming rather than spit personnal or social crap.

I think this goes along with only 21 percent of children in school in the US are proficient in reading, less than 20 in math, and a whopping 7 percent proficient in science.

Like I said in the other thread, Idiocracy is coming and there is nothing we can do about it. These people get there views and moral guidance from TikTokers with no sources or facts on anything in life.

Brawndo will be feeding our crops very soon.

Add to dexterity for a sorcery moonveil build and you’ll cut through a good chunk of the game like butter

Ok dumb question i know.....the new character weapons that are in the DLC, are they useable everywhere in the game, or are they only for the ErdTree map?

Edit- new weapons not classes, sorry.....

I got one that's only done NG, and another one that's done NG+ but just rushed through the mandatory shit in like 2 hours (excluding Crumbling Farum Azula and final boss, that took another 3-4 hours) so that means he has to beat Radahn and Mohg but I really don't feel like it.
