FakeGAF 7: The Dark Thirst Rises

Tony's been having an obsession with making the world safe from his monsters since Iron Man 1, going so far as to build a new monster to protect the world from space monsters, which backfired immediately. That deep-seated fear combined with the collateral damage caused by the Avengers is pretty much his driving force behind taking the political side that he does. He also feels betrayed by Cap because despite their constant butting heads, he considered him a close friend, and Cap's choosing Bucky over him, which makes sense considering his past history with both characters. The rest of the characters just pick sides based off of what they thought was right.

And even though the ending was somewhat weak, at least they didn't walk it back immediately like BvS did. BvS does have good moments (Batfleck is awesome) but it is still incredibly flawed.

I am hoping that the BvS Ultimate Edition fixes many of the issues with the original cut, though nothing is gonna fix

He could have done that better without spending half the movie trying to get
Tony and cap in a remote location and showing them a video

He was doing so good with the fake bucky and the real buck and everything then suddenly ?????

I found something really interesting today. My dad first praised the old roots show and then claimed the new show was race baiting.

He wasn't a good main villain but I don't think he was ever supposed to be. At the same time, I understand his plan, despite it being overly complicated. I don't understand Lex.
He was going to frame Superman for murder (WITH BULLETS), have Batman kill Superman with the stolen kryptonite, and then build Doomsday anyway, and then contact Darkseid because...???

You could say that it was all to kill Superman, but then
why contact Darkseid?!

I'm hoping they do a better job of clarifying in the extended cut but what I got the idea is that he just wants power and that drives his curiosity

This guy has the most fucked up work ethic. Basically it's this: "Working is only worth it if they pay you a lot of money".

But none of those endgoals would end in power.
Regardless of who won the fight that he set up, he was going to jail. If Doomsday had succeeded, he'd be dead, and if everyone had killed each other, the other metahumans wouldn't be able to stop Darkseid.

I read back a page.

1) BvS isn't as bad as what the neckbeards say it is
2) civil war shits on BvS from great height
3) Jesse Eisenberg is terrible

@Jobbs why is suspension of disbelief so important to you? That stops being important the moment there are super powers in a movie. This isn't an accurate portrayal of reality and so you shouldn't expect films like these to be anything more than a fun romp.

I seriously don't understand the need for such in depth analysis on popcorn flicks. Both films entertained it's just that Civil War did it better and it didn't annoy me with Jesse Eisenbergs fake intellectual psycho babble

edit - also I agree with zee BvS is bloated as fuck and the action scenes with doomsday at the end were waaaaay too much

There's way too much context here to go through.

Basically it pissed me off. He always does this. He enters some kind of field, studies for it, spends so much of my moms money ("I don't care, I need to do this"), and then when it gets real for him.... he just stops.

i'm just pissed off
